Plastic Man met Klara (age 6) at the climate protest in Central London on 20th September 2019. She was holding up a banner saying 'Plastic is killing me and it will kill you too'. Plastic Man was taking photos of her and other school children on the wall outside parliament when he started to cry a river of plastic tears. He vowed at that moment to become the super-hero that he was born to be and to help Klara spread her message to the world. The question was how...? They began meeting weekly for coffee and hot chocolate and Klara told Plastic Man of her desire to write songs like the ones she had heard and sung along to in movies like 'Frozen', 'Trolls' and 'Moana'. Faced with this challenge, Plastic Man begun a regular 'band' practice with Klara and working on material for a protest song. Together they wrote the words for 'I am Plastic Man' and Klara played the xylophone and drums on the recording, Plastic Man the guitars.
