But then he sees my tear stained cheeks

It's these women here, you know”,and then he turns around and goes

And so I continue on.
And I hear the river sing her song
It comforts me Til i believe i can be strong

into the breaking dawn
Saint Louis' spires begin to glow
It’s time to face the music 
This i know

Another Red sky at morning
it was too late to heed the warning
That place was not my home
You know I never did belong
there i never could be free
And I knew she'd never leave

And there was nothing left to say
