The Fat Ass Champions love to write and play music in many different styles.  They are not as interested in marketing, promoting, ass-kissing, looking pretty and other soul destroying ventures.

Musico autodidata, Rauber Mendes começou a tocar violão e a cantar com aproximadamente 17 anos de idade ainda sem um estilo definido, vagou por alguns estilos musicais e acabou adotando o Pop e Rock como referência para seus trabalhos posteriores. Começou a carreira profissional aos 23 anos cantando e tocando em bares na região de Pelotas - Brasil onde permaneceu até radicar-se em Florianópolis onde solidificou repertório e técnica com êxito agregando parceiros, amigos e Fãs do seu trabalho.

Após esse período deixou o Brasil,vivendo em diversos países como Chile, Alemanha, Espanha e Escócia em uma constante de shows em Pubs e participação em eventos internacionais em diversos países.

No decorrer da carreira agregou de forma gradual outros instrumentos ao leque de conhecimento musical iniciando com Harmônica em seguida Violoncello,Violão 12 cordas, Guitarra, Acordeon, Teclado, Piano e  Contrabaixo, finalizando no estudo da conhecida "Highland Bagpipe", a gaita escocesa.
Foi violoncelista da Orquestra Filarmônica da Sociedade Pelotense Musica pela Musica e baixista/violoncelista em grupos de tango e trios de corda na Alemanha.
Em seguida preparou-se para o novo desafio: Participar da equipe de musicos e entretenimento da Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC Cruises)  em navios de cruzeiros da frota tocando praa públicos de alto nível e de variadas culturas em temporadas no Mediterrâneo, Norte da Europa, Cone Sul e Brasi,l fazendo parte da equipe de musicos da italiana Rosseti Entertainment.
