Composition for Cello and Abelton Live is a musical performance developed as a collaborative
project between the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of Musical Art in Belgrade. It is an
experimental musical piece that was composed for cello and Ableton Live/max MSP. The project
explores the possibilities of the violoncello building different sound structures by using loops and
different sound processors (feedback delays, pitch shifters, and real-time granular synthesis).
Different microphones were used for capturing different sounds for which special FX paths were
created (for example contact microphones for percussive sounds).
