The Storm

Why do we look away when the truth stands so close it could touch us?
There’s a quiet ache in pretending not to feel, in holding on to something that’s already fading. The silence between words grows thin, stretched until it breaks.
“WHY” moves gently through that space – the aftermath of what wasn’t said. It’s restrained, haunting, and human. Each lyric feels like a breath you’ve been holding too long, a small release that carries more weight than it should. The song doesn’t demand answers; it just lets the question linger, raw and unresolved. Each line drifts between confession and collapse, asking the question that never really disappears: Why did we never say anything?

Looped vox from the fantastic Olya Holiday floating through fractured percussion, detuned synth bloom, and tape-warm bass. My follow-up to RAIN, shooting to land somewhere between Oklou’s digital intimacy and Aphex Twin’s dream logic, with a little autumnal sunshine in the haze.

Un morceau organique, lumineux, conçu pour laisser respirer la musique et rassembler. GAYA, c’est la bande-son d’un souffle nouveau — l’esprit même de ce que l’on veut partager.

Avec Expectasis, Joe Lewandowski signe son projet le plus intime. Figure montante de la scène électronique française, il a d’abord vécu la nuit de l’intérieur en travaillant comme barman, physio puis directeur artistique. Expectasis explore l’ambiguïté de son rapport à la nuit. C’est un voyage entre liberté et fuite, chaleur et solitude, transe et catharsis. Chaque titre représente une heure de la nuit, du before à l’aube.

A rising figure in the French electronic scene, he first experienced nightlife from the inside - working as a bartender, bouncer, and later as an artistic director. Expectasis explores the ambiguity of his relationship with the night. It’s a journey between freedom and escape, warmth and solitude, trance and catharsis. Each track represents an hour of the night, from the pre-party to dawn.
