Ubass Music is an independent record label situated in Hamburg, one of Germany's thriving music metropolises. Founded in 2014, the label is owned by bassist, producer and engineer Ubass, maintaining a strong focus on high-quality music, innovation and creativity. The origins of Ubass Music can be traced back to the early 1980s when Ubass began to produce his first tracks, many of which were released under different monikers. Alongside the founder's solo project, long time fellow artists, bands and projects, such as Lurupean Dub Stars (LDS) and Lurupean Art Ensemble (LAE), which have been steady companions throughout Ubass’ musical career, are represented on Ubass Music. Today's possibilities of an online-based label with its corresponding distribution service led to the decision to establish Ubass Music. More importantly though was the ideological aspect: with Ubass Music, artists have the opportunity to reach a much wider audience by promoting and selling their music while retaining complete control of their releases. And thanks to the label's very own studio that provides a relaxed atmosphere to allow artists to be creative and achieve the best results, Ubass Music covers everything from recording and editing through to mixing and final mastering, and this with outstanding success.
