Headed up by longtime colleagues and collaborators Function (David Sumner) and Inland (Ed Davenport), Infrastructure New York spent the good part of 1998 to 2005 serving up the prolific output of both artists – with a few cameos from others along the way. Following a ten-year hiatus, Infrastructure has now re-emerged as a busy and consistent platform for modern electronic music, marking a new wave of material which has been dormant since Sumner's first material on Sandwell District in 2007.

Since its resurgence, Sumner and Davenport have orchestrated a heavyweight set of releases: ten vinyl releases, two singles from avant-garde composer Campbell Irvine, a reissue of acid classics from Trackman (Mark Archer), a crossover single by Cassegrain & Tin Man, and plenty more. Now comes Infrastructure's next milestone – Facticity. A 4 x 12” vinyl box set, CD and digital format compilation featuring fifteen tracks by key artists, label colleagues and new faces. Function, Inland, Campbell irvine, Post Scriptum, Cassegrain & Tin Man, Rrose, Efdemin, Vatican Shadow, Silent Servant, Blue Hour, Steve Bicknell and Cleric all feature; spinning a narrative that ranges from lush, ambient and post-club diversions, to contemporary floor-orientated techno and back again.

Our highlight off the compilation comes from the reputable Efdemin, whose "Kassiber" is a kaleidoscopic take on the well-versed techno rhetoric. A club-centred number adding to the compilation's comprehensive showcase of widely varying electronic sounds. Facticity represents the foundations of what Infrastructure stands for – a manifesto for 2016 and beyond. We're looking forward to see where things'll go from here.

Efdemin "Kassiber" - Boiler Room Debuts

London based electronic music label Khemia Records announces its second split release vinyl Ep. 

Aurora on the Lunar side is a new work created for Khemia by venerable Canadian producers Orphx. 

Crepuscular, infrasonic hydro-acoustics submerge padding rhythms, emerging gradually through oscillations and the caustic snarl of static, into a mutant echo chamber of polyrhythmic hypnosis and fractal bleeps to be finally swept away by vast, billowing swathes of spectral harmonics. 

Emboli, on the Solar Side is a new track written specially for Khemia by the enigmatic sound artist Rrose. 

Cascades of iridescent particles coruscate against the shadow of an ominous dirge, crashing into a wall of slurred rhythm that opens into a glacial abyss, punctuated by a fearfully insistent whiplash that finally dissolves into a quantum field of bituminous drones.

Monnom Black is proud to present BODY MUSIC - the new album from legendary electronic artist,Thomas P. Heckmann!

Thomas P. Heckmann is a man who needs little introduction. The German producer has flexed his prowess across all shades of electronic music, but it’s his contributions to EBM-Techno, Acid, Industrial and Experimental that has earned him his notoriety, and it was in 1994 when he dropped an acid-tinged ‘Amphetamine’ as DRAX LTD. II that shot him into being recognised as a power to be reckoned with.

For the production of BODY MUSIC, Heckmann has utilised 30 years worth of acquired knowledge to create a hard-hitting album which bears all the grit Heckmann is renowned for. Harmonising analogue and digital wares to create an utterly immersive album over the course of 14 tracks.

Tracks such as Provide the Future, Bloody Vacant and Zeitmaschine are prime examples of how TPH can bring forth his charismatic productions into the contemporary techno climate, whilst sealing each track with his signature stamp. His vast knowledge of modular and analogue syntheses teamed with his ability to build tension proves optimal in BODY MUSIC’s storytelling. The album’s mission statement is simple: “Connecting the future with the past.” Tracks such as EBM3 start off where Thomas left off back in the early 2000s - sequels to EBM1 and EBM2.

The LP will be presented over three slabs of vinyl, with the album covering significant ground in techno, EBM, acid and electro (and many chasms in between). BODY MUSIC is a prime example of why TPH has remained so in demand and relevant over the years - and now more than ever.

Body Music will be made available on Triple Vinyl, CD & Digital. A 3-track EP album teaser will be released in February 2018, and will be followed by the full triple LP in March 2018.

Since his first record dropped in 2010, UK producer Blawan has been gradually rewriting the techno rulebook while making hardware mayhem as one half of Karenn and dropping solo releases on labels like Hessle Audio, Clone, R&S and his own Ternesc imprint. However, despite all that activity, he's somehow never released a full-length album – until now. The highly anticipated 'Wet Will Always Dry' LP is slated to arrive on June 18, but ahead of that we debuted the ominous sounds of "Stell" on First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

Voiski’s classic hit Megatrance 2 finally gets a vinyl release after 10 years of unofficial distribution. Smuggled as a dj’s secret weapon the mega track appeared on several mixes and compilations such as the Maceo Plex Fabric mix 98 which has made it popular. This special anniversary edition comes with a previously unheard Megatrance 1 written same week, disregarded by the artist at first and finally recognized as years went by. Two timeless Megahits remastered and pressed on a limited 10″ vinyl, coming out november 5th on Super 95.
