Stuart Johnston - Just Add Sunshine 10th Anniversary Mix

Welcome to The Exclusive Series guest mix for November 2021. 

We are thrilled to bring you this session from the insanely talented Nolan. Initially from Cypherpunx & Flip Fantasia, Nolan has uploaded from his vinyl collection to make this incredibly generous three hour mix entitled "After The Afters DJ Mix";  in his own words....

"Back from the after hours to finish the big night out with a back to mine session! The first hour we still have some juice left in the tank. But as the sun continues to rise forcing it's way through the crack in the curtains, casting shards of light onto the smoke filled room we drift down into downtempo ambient electronica and chillout, where beat-matching becomes simple blending trying to hold on to the last moments of energy until our eye lids can stay open no longer! 

This 3 hour session is recorded from vinyl albums I've bought or featured on over the last few years including a couple of reissues of classic records i've played so much they'd worn out so I needed to buy fresh copies. Lay back kick it, enjoy the ride!"

Straddling House, Disco, Breaks & Prog with a unique twist and an eye for the underground  NOLAN is making serious waves right now, with key releases on Mobilee, LNOE, Bedrock, Circus,  Kittball, MadTech, Crew Love, Get Physical, OFF, Gruuv & Connaisseur Recordings.  His collaboration with legendary actor Idris Elba caused quite a stir with it's no nonsense anti EDM stance. The vinyl release of which, with its analog heavy Of Norway remix featured as the opening track on John Digweed's Transitions radio show which then led to the NOLAN guest mix on show 511.  

NOLAN's debut release 'Thief' which was snapped up by New York's Nurvous Records, making its way into the discerning boxes of Maceo Plex & Wolf + Lamb.  His follow up EP was released on vinyl by the exquisite Connaisseur Recordings, with a bumping Paradise Garage-inspired disco track alongside a stunning revision of an MK classic. Followed by a sizzling hot vinyl EP on Audiojack's GRUUV imprint with remixes courtesy of John Tejada and Poker Flat's Kyodai. Then came 'Go Slow' with it's choice remixes from Miguel Puente & a young Finnebassen who's remix clocked well over 5 million views on YouTube.  His collaborations with Soul songstress Rachel Adedeji created a huge buzz amongst the DJ community featuring remixes from DJ T, Sharam Jey, Climbers & ATFC. Which was followed by a slew of releases on Low Steppa's Simma Black, Sleazy Deep, ALiVE, King Street, Dear Deer,  Sakura Music & a vinyl release on Sex Panda White with remixes from Kevin Over, Telonius (Gomma) + Matt Fear & Kreature.

But it’s one of NOLAN's collaborations with Amber Jolene which is proving hard to beat. The sublime remix by Danish rising star KANT resonated around Ibiza island and features on Toolroom Ibiza CD, Pure Salinas, Coco Beach, Armada Sunset + Ministry Of Sound Chilled House Ibiza compilation CDs and has also now had over 13 million views on YouTube alone!

Followed by a 2 tracker ‘Dance Boy’ & ‘Cassette Tape’ on Enzo Si
ff redi's chart busting Wired imprint & a release on Kerri Chandler’s MadTech.
Soul Clap & Wolf + Lamb then snapped up 4 more Nolan / Forrest collaborations for an EP on their Brooklyn based Crew Love Records & a collaboration with House Music royalty Joi Cardwell recently came out on the legendary Henry Street Records. Most recently though, Nolan's release on Mobilee with Mr.V on vocals and remixes from SIS and Re.You are what's causing heads to turn!

Plus the future looks bright with SASHA signing 3 more NOLAN tracks for LNOE & Digweed snapping up a remix of Coloursound for his next Quattro compilation..

PFG's annual Mix Collection has reached its fourth milestone, here are the best tracks of 2021, as chosen by our group members, in one extended mix.
This year we continued with the theme of choosing THREE of our groups best DJ's, one from each of our music streams. 

From the weekly Progcast, Lynsey absolutely wowed everyone with her mix of cool breaks and large prog bangers, kicking off the Tribu month in fine style. Kenny Muir's February Exclusive Series mix was a masterpiece in set building, the 303 boss delivered a set designed for the very same events his team is renowned for! Jimi Falconer is the man behind our bi-weekly Alchemy livestreams, that has now passed 50 episodes.
