This week we take our inaugral visit to Sweden, and her capital Stockholm, one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Here we find an extremely vibrant and talented artist, one who has certainly been making big moves in our scene over the last 12 months. The rising star from Stockholm, EMPHI, also known as Johan started his musical journey at an early age having musicians in the family. He’s now paving the way with his personal progressive and melodic touch. 

Approaching three years since his debut, the Swedish artist has continued to build an impressive resume. Since he entered the progressive house scene, he has made a mark with his signature melodic approach to percussion filled anthems with steady grooves and flows. With monumental support from all around the world he exceeds expectations with every release.

Making 2022 his breakout year, debuting on leading labels within the progressive house-scene, EMPHI is now ready to showcase what he has been preparing in his Stockholm-based studio. 

This mix is compiled to show the evolution of his sound, taking you on a journey through his favourite tracks right now and own material, to be released during 2023.

PFG The Progcast - Episode 152 - EMPHI

Li Kai is no stranger to electronic music. His electronic music career began in 2008 when he used the nickname Spipyrec and his friends to form the radio station Aiake Records. Since 2010, he has participated in clubs and outdoor parties. The Find Myself series is famous for its textured and energetic DJ SET. It is published on Soundcloud, Mixcloud and other platforms, and its footprints are all over the Internet. It has been learning mixing skills with its eclectic mixing style, and is good at different sounds of different genres. Confined to any style, he has earned respect and recognition as a DJ for over a decade.

When Li Kai is working as a DJ, he likes to think of DJ SET as telling a beautiful and vivid story through music, with a beginning, a middle, and a perfect ending. As a child who grew up in the mountains of Guizhou surrounded by hundreds of miles of azaleas, this scenery made him emotional and enthusiastic. He was good at using Progressive methods to make stories more motivating, Melodic to make stories more vivid, and electronic music. To express your own emotional stories, electronic music can create a better resonance and interaction between yourself and your heart than words, release your true emotions through music, and find the unknown and unknown self.
