The 96th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Juan Pablo Buitrago Amaya - better known as Juan Buitrago from Colombia. Born in the city of Ibagué, Colombia and currently situated in Buenos Aires (Argentina), he started to DJ observing his colleagues and friends, and hence felt the need to place his own ideas in composition. Juan's sound pulls off a combination of complex yet expressive and detailed soundscapes, flowing primarily in the progressive house spectrum and captivating listeners on the dance floor. Having managed to drop music on The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, Deepwibe Underground and many more - braced and supported by Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo just to name a few, we're ready for Juan Buitrago to take over this episode of our show with an exclusive 70-minute set. Hello Everyone and welcome onboard the PFG Progcast! Taking you around the world of exclusive progressive beats, our travels take us to Spain. We have a bona-fide legend for you this week. Let's go with D-FORMATION!

Dimas Carbajo, the owner and main man of BEATFREAK GROUP, a business alliance which is proud to include, amongst others, the first Spanish record label of underground electronic music, BEATFREAK RECORDINGS. It has been conveying this style of music to the world since 1997.

With a 25 year career path, both in DJ booths and music studios in his role as a Producer, D-FORMATION is one of the most respected electronic music artists in the world. Proof of that is his album 'MADRID' for YOSHITOSHI,  which was launched on one of the most prestigious compilation series of our scene, and the only Spanish artist featured in it so far.

When he was barely 17 years old, Dimas was awarded the first prize of the Spanish DMC DJ championship, not once, but twice. From that time onwards his work was indefatigable not only as a megamixer for numerous Spanish multinational music companies, but also travelling around the entire country with his DMC gigs.

When he was only 23 one of his greatest projects came to plan, founding his first label MD RECORDS. It revolutionised the then electronic music market and positioned itself as the best Spanish label with the best electronic music for many years.

Shortly after, another project materialised.  RESOLUTE DISTRIBUTION, which is one of the biggest vinyl distribution companies in Spain, this made the Spanish electronic music become known all around the world.

From that moment D-FORMATION was born and his rise as a DJ and producer was and continues to be unstoppable. Achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of our underground scene, all the way from Tech and Progressive House to Trance.

Numerous prizes as a DJ and producer granted by the industry vouch for all those years of his professional career, most noteworthy his #39 position in the Top 100 DJs of the prestigious DJMAG magazine, the highest ranking that a Spanish DJ has ever achieved.

Artists such as Tiësto, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Deep Dish play his music. Labels like Sony Music, Virgin Records, EMI, Beatfreak, Suara, Yoshitoshi, Movement Recordings, Nervous, and Twisted have all signed his work. 

His work has been remixed by names like D-Nox & Beckers, My Favorite Robot, Ruede Hagelstein, Victor Calderone, & Marc De Pulse. This combination has given Dimas an almost non stop yearly schedule playing at the worlds biggest and best clubs and festivals around the globe, with DJs like Marco Carola, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Loco Dice, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Dubfire and countless more.

Hello and welcome to our 3rd Exclusive Series (with Subcode) of 2023. Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists. Each month we highlight each of our DJ's, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month.

March 2023 saw Soulfinder take to the decks. Steve always brings a unique style to his set's, often mixing in his own edit's of current and classic tracks, fresh ID's and unreleased mixes of his own content. DO NOT MISS!

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Stephen Hogg (Soulfinder) has had a passion and a love for electronic music from a very young age. Inspired by artists such as Sasha, and other monoliths of progressive house music. Stephen knew it was his destiny to eventually follow in the footsteps of these musical masterminds and carve a niche of his own, as Soulfinder.

Naturally this form was something that his passion and love had evolved itself into and Soulfinder quickly began to learn the ropes and make a lot of headway in a very short time period. Before long he had his very first release published on Outside the Box Music (owned and operated by Eelke Kleijn). In 2009 he was voted best newcomer and his debut album Wasteland was voted album of the year on Swiss National Radio. That led to him preforming at the legendary Love festival that year.

Fast forward to 2023, he has now released on labels such as Blackhole Recordings, Spring Tube and Soundteller, amongst many others. 

Stephen, alongside Khankra & Gorgonoize now form Fusion Underground, earning many accolades and projects of their own and together, expect more from three of Ireland's higher quality electronic artists.

Frequentador e amante de festas de música eletrônica desde 1999, Rodrigo a.k.a. Progressive Sensations sempre esteve presente na pista de dança. Até hoje, participa das maiores festas e festivais no Brasil, e alguns no exterior. Em 2003, criou a festa Transensations, na época voltada ao Psy & Progressive Trance.

Como produtor de eventos, desde 2010 atua nos bastidores dos maiores festivais de música do Brasil (SWU, Lollapalooza, Rock In Rio, Tomorrowland Brasil, Universo Paralello, entre outros).

A admiração pelas técnicas de mixagem dos artistas com os quais trabalhava e acompanhava de perto sempre chamou sua atenção, e foi a partir de 2012 que começou a mixar, selecionando tracks e gravando sets.

Em 2017, a marca Transensations se tornou uma label dedicada ao Progressive House e, desde então, Rodrigo passou a se dedicar mais às técnicas de mixagem ligadas a esse estilo. Hoje em dia, seu foco é apresentar ao público as tracks de seus dois selos, Transensations Records e For Senses, em festas e através de sets para radio shows e canais especializados.

Attending and loving electronic music parties since 1999, Rodrigo a.k.a. Progressive Sensations has always been present on the dance floor. To this day, he participates in the biggest parties and festivals in Brazil, and some abroad. In 2003, he created the Transensations party, at the time devoted to Psy & Progressive Trance.

As an event producer, since 2010 he has worked behind the scenes at the biggest music festivals in Brazil (SWU, Lollapalooza, Rock In Rio, Tomorrowland Brasil, Universo Paralello, among others).

Admiration for the mixing techniques of the artists he worked with and closely followed always caught his attention, and it was in 2012 that he started mixing, selecting tracks and recording sets.

In 2017, the Transensations brand became a label dedicated to Progressive House and, since then, Rodrigo has dedicated himself more to mixing techniques linked to this style. Nowadays, his focus is to present to the public the tracks of his two labels, Transensations Records and For Senses, at parties and through sets for radio shows and specialized channels.

This record was assembled under duress in a windowless room by a man with a trembling jaw and a God complex. We dont remember recording it, but we found the stems buried inside an encrypted folder titled DO NOT RESUSCITATE. It smelled like ozone and old cologne. The opening track isnt music—its a controlled leak from the subconscious. Some say if you play it backwards you can hear a woman whispering your fathers regrets. We tried. She just laughed. Wish Youd Known was originally 19 minutes long and made several listeners panic.. We had to bury the original mix in a field. This version is slightly safer. No promises. This EP is not for dancing. Its for pacing around your flat at 4:36am, chewing the inside of your cheek, remembering the exact texture of your exs bathroom towel and wondering if youve already died and no one told you. Approach with caution. We know youre listening.
