As a DJ, his sets have carried him from underground European residencies to extended journeys across the Americas, while his productions have been remixed by industry heavyweights such as Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile, Eelke Kleijn and Petar Dundov. At the helm of the Sound Avenue label family, Madloch has curated a respected home for both emerging talent and established voices, balancing his own creative output with a role as cultivator of scenes.

Originally written by Dougy Mandagi and Lorenzo Sillitto, Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap became an indie anthem in 2008. Pulse Meridian reimagines the track as a synth-pop journey with a driving beat and a haunting, melancholic atmosphere.

This version layers arpeggiated synths, a deep bass foundation, and steady electronic drums beneath smooth, breathy vocals. Spacious production with reverb and delay creates a wide, introspective soundscape that captures the spirit of the original while shaping it into a modern club-ready experience.

Pulse Meridian - Sweet Disposition (Reckless Abandon Club Cover)

Originally written by Ric Ocasek and Greg Hawkes, Moving in Stereo first appeared on The Cars’ 1978 self-titled debut album. This cover is a deep, dark progressive house reimagining that transforms the new wave classic into a driving late-night club experience.
Pulse Meridian layers hypnotic textures, pulsing basslines, and a pounding groove that makes the track both cinematic and highly danceable. Built with respect for the original, it captures the timeless spirit of The Cars while pushing it into modern underground territory.
Best experienced with volume up and lights down.

Pulse Meridian - Moving in Stereo (Fool with the Sound Cover)

Written by U2, Hawkmoon 269 has long been a fan-favourite deep cut. Pulse Meridian transforms it into a driving electronic dance track set in E minor at 120 BPM, reshaping the song for the club while keeping its emotional weight intact.

This version features a pounding electronic drum beat, deep synth bass, and atmospheric pads, with arpeggiated synth melodies adding movement and urgency. Smooth, slightly melancholic vocals ride over a wide, spacious mix where the bass and drums drive the energy forward. The result is a dark, hypnotic reinterpretation built for the dancefloor.

ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.

Kate and Paul are a synthpop and electronic music duo from Warkworth, Auckland, New Zealand, known for creating songs that carry deep meaning with pop sensibility. Drawing inspiration from 80’s and 90’s electronic icons like Depeche Mode, The Human League, and Cabaret Voltaire, their sound merges retro synth textures with modern production to craft tracks that are both nostalgic and contemporary. Founded in 2011 by Belgian DJ and producer https://soundcloud.com/madloch , Sound Avenue is an electronic music label that stands for quality and originality. Borderless in vision, the Belgian imprint has forged a path to multiple musical dimensions. Blurring the boundaries between house and techno, it’s a platform for anyone with an open mind and ears.
