After recording this mix, I went out for a walk around my neighborhood.  As I was relistening to this mix during my walk I thought about my hometown and how things have changed drastically for me these last 10 years.  All positive changes.  

I'm lucky to now be able to live in large diverse cities, packed with unique experiences and cultures. Vastly different from anything I experienced in my youth.  Despite now being based in New York City, I firmly believe that no matter where I live, home is where the heart is.  And home was/is/and forever will be Huron, California.  

I hope this mix will take you to your special place the way it took me when I first relistened to it.  Enjoy!

Hello crew, and welcome along to another exclusive PFG Progcast, our weekly hypersonic journey around the Planet Progressive..

Our travels this week bring us nearer to home and another visit to London. Originally from Chorley, our DJ this week is one of the UK's hottest properties in our scene right now. With releases on The Soundgarden, Balance Music, Manual Music, ICONYC, Wout Records, Juicebox Music, Lowbit Records and Mirabilis on his CV, it isn't hard to see why! We're super excited to have secured his services for this very special two hour mix, given the circumstances as to how it came around!! Give it up... for Nichols! 


Nichols’ own brand of shiny, dark and ethereal productions blur the boundaries between house and techno, always melodic, without ever following the current trend or sticking to a formula. Sometimes a delicate melody lights up a dark day and sometimes the thunder of techno is all that is required.

Its not often we go back in time for a Classics Mix, but where these guys are concerned, it HAD to be done.

For this special Weekly Progcast, NYC based DJ & producer duo UpAllNight takes PFG listeners on a trip down memory lane, to the golden age of Progressive. Featuring tracks and mixes from legends including DJ Pierre, Danny Howells & Dick Trevor, Lexicon Avenue, John Creamer & Stephane K.. UpAllNight gives us a special throwback mix to both inspire us and remind us of simpler times.

NYC based duo Noam and John began the UPALLNIGHT project near the end of 2018, and its been generating excitement ever since. After there first few releases hit the top spots in their respective charts, the boys explain why they started to work together... "We wanted to do this because we wanted to make some dope shit!"... What more explanation does one need?

Combining Noam's contemporary stylistic approach, with Creamer's unique production aesthetics, the duo have conjured up a unique sound, that wouldn't have been achieved working alone. "We bring different attitudes and sensibilities to the process, consider us genre-fluid, but quintessentially New York... drugged up, lush, tribal, atmospheric and deep!"

Hello crew, welcome on board another PFG Progcast, our exclusive weekly podcast bringing you only the finest artists that Planet Progressive can find.

Today, Episode 39 takes us back Down Under! Australia and her DJ's are smashing the scene we love right now, with new and established artists all helping to put the country bang at the top of the Progressive and Underground dance music scenes. Our DJ this week is no stranger to it all, with over 25 years in the game PFG are happy to have secured a place for this legend. Give it up for Nigel Dawson!

The return of the prodigal son of prog, it could be said – has bolstered the scene during strange days. From the very beginnings of what we now call Progressive House, Nigel Dawson saw the foundations built and had an important role in how it was built. In the Nineties when Renaissance’s colossal influence on dance music became front page news, it was Dawson who led the line in pushing the headlines. Nigel was resident DJ for the Mansfield-based club night and brand from 1992, then at The Cross in London for years at the start of the new millennium. It was also at this time that Nigel created the beast that is Dominion, producing a raft of massive tracks that destroyed dance floors worldwide.

Now, over a quarter of a century later and based on the other side of the world in Sydney, where he has resided for over a decade - he has made a comeback in this year of uncertainties – but with a definite thump. His recent mixes have created excitement and a new buzz, with the return of Dominion too.... re-releases and remixes from some big artists forthcoming. 

Progressive House and its global following is certainly licking its lips at what is to come for the future with Nigel Dawson back on board.

PFG - The Progcast - Episode 39 - Nigel Dawson

Hello Everyone and welcome to another edition of PFG's Exclusive Progcasts, our weekly trek around the world of Planet Prog.

From the South, to the North, and we've taken the M1 out of Dublin all the way into Belfast, a trip quite a few of us at PFG are used to! We love NI, and this weeks DJ is one of the many reasons why. Well used to spinning mixes for us at PFG, this is his fourth mix in total. If this is the first time your hearing one, I can guarentee it won't be your last. Crew, give it up for Aiden Burgess!!!

Hailing from just outside Belfast in NI, Aiden got into buying early House and Techno records, and anything else that caught his ear when he was 16 years old. His love for buying them eventually led to him grabbing a set of old  SL12010 Technics when he was 17. Aiden's main influences back then where Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman and many more. He's DJed in one of Northern Irelands classic clubs, Charlie Haggarty's in Bangor, and he has also ran his own club nights in the past.These club nights aired on a monthly basis at Rosie Scotts in Comber NI. That venture lasted roughly 2 years and in that time he had to design his own posters to promote his night and also hire speakers and lighting! Aiden has also won a Dj competition held by Mixmaster Records in Belfast were he was competing against 40 other DJ's. His hour long mix won the prize for £100s worth of records. His main styles of music would be Classics, Deep house, Electronica, Breaks, Progressive House and Techno. He has a massive passion for music and is constanstly sourcing new music for new mixes, just like this one!
