It's a regular journey down to Argentina this week, a country where we've clocked up the most air miles travelling to!  Heading into Rosario, and a DJ in top form right now, with countless gigs and nights under her belt, and some choice ones also on the horizon. We are super proud to present the brilliant DJ Alma (AR)

Maria Pedraza aka ALMA(AR) is a DJ/Producer from Rosario in Argentina. ALMA's work captures the crowd's attention with an avant-garde style in her mixes, combining Progressive, Deep and Melodic house, and a characteristic groove in her productions. Her signature style fuses hypnotic melodies to Afro-Cuban percussions, creating tracks such as 'Absence of Light' released on Shine.

Her music has seen life on labels such as La Cura de la Semana, Droid9, Shine Music Label & Nube Music, consistently hitting high positions in charts with support from the masters like Alejo Gonzalez, Nick Muir & Hernan Cattaneo.

Her many skills as a DJ has seen her land several headlining gigs and she has also supported the likes of Fernando Ferreyra & Diego Olba. Online you can find ALMA has been showcasing her talents with Proton, X-Beat, Droid9. and Amber Long's LIA Series.

Hello Everyone!!  Welcome back to the PFG Progcast, your exclusive first class trip around Planet Progressive. Join us every Wednesday as we search for the best beats we can find out there, delivered direct to you! 

Our search today has directed us to the beautiful Mediterranean Island of Malta, for the first (but not last)time. Our artist today had a spectacular year in 2022, his most productive yet, with an output few DJ's on the circuit would find hard to match. So fitting us in his busy schedule is a real honour for us, and you!

Dylan Deck is the most prolific Progressive DJ/Producer in the Maltese Isles. Born in 1986 he started his DJ career at the young age of 16 and has since made a name for himself, with a passion and determination to grow bigger.
 
Dylan started producing music in 2016 and has since released on quality record labels such as Mango Alley, Modern Agenda, Balkan Connection, Droid9, Kitchen records to name a few. His music is supported by top international DJs like Ferry Corsten, Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Monique and many more. Dylan's productions are constantly hitting the hype charts.

In 2018 he started his own club nights and created his own one off concept named “Connect”. Patrick Sunna aka Bynomic saw his potential and determination and appointed him as the A&R manager of Another Life Music a record label based in Switzerland.

Hello everyone and welcome back onboard the PFG Progcast! We take you around Planet Progressive every week, forever searching for the best and most exclusive sets from the best DJs we can find... 

Born in the UK, but now residing in Denver US, our artist today has only been around our scene a small time, and is already making big moves within it. A stellar 2022 now looks set to bring rich pickings this year, with many a clued in listener eager for his services. 

Cooking up something a little different today, a DJ mix made with lots of live, on the fly edits JUST for this mix, including a very special intro exclusively for us, and a raft of unreleased music straight off the mixing boards. PFG give it up for the awesome Orticaan.

Daryl Thomas (AKA Orticaan) was born in the UK,  but has since moved to the States. Making the well travelled route to Cream in Liverpool, a young Daryl could always be found front and centre of a packed, Cattaneo led dance floor, keen to focus on the skills of the Argentine master. All the filter sweeps, the bass fades, juggling three decks at once, a master craftsman's workshop in mixing and track selection. 

These are keen influences on how Daryl approaches his work, more suited to sound design and production. Why create a DJ mix when you can create and influence the sounds in a mix instead? 

These influences, plus listening to unsung heroes of our scene like Lucien Foort, Remy and Perry O'Neill combine to bring you the soundtrack you hear today. Progressive house melodies, filling vast electronic soundscapes, laced with driving bass-lines, all boxed into a beautiful ethereal package.

Its these packages of aural joy that the cream of our scenes label's are quickly forming a queue to get hold of. AH Digital, Arcedian, Moussaieff, LateNightMusic, ProBtech, Sounds and Frequencies and Droid9 have all noticed the clear talent Orticaan has, and its a queue that will get deeper and deeper this year.

'I play using Ableton live, with custom effects and EQ racks. I focus on making every mix something special, running long loops and re-editing tracks for one-off, on-the-fly moments. Madloch's 3rd Avenue is pleased to welcome back Argentinian producer Gero Pellizzon with his first solo release on the label, the Sonar EP. After making his debut earlier this year on the We Are the Future 2025, Vol. 1 compilation, Gero returns with a project that highlights his melodic sensibility and finely tuned approach to progressive house.

Alongside the original, the EP features three diverse remixes from an international selection of artists. Argentina's Kevin Yair delivers a deep and hypnotic take, while US-based producer Ev Rymd reimagines the track with his atmospheric and textured style. Rounding out the package, Brazilian duo Cipriani & Hans Gerd join forces for a collaborative rework, infusing Sonar with driving rhythms and a warm, emotive edge.
