Well hello and welcome back! Good to see you here on the Il Modo progcast, where once again we do the digging and you do the listening, to exclusive DJ mixes all around Planet Prog! 

For the third week running we return to the Helios VIP Stage of DSCNNCT Festival, that ran on the 1st July this year. Continuing on from Brian Gravel's opener and Leah Marie's floor filler, we shine the spotlight on a DJ whose name will be on everyone's lips before too long. Fresh new talent  from the Anjuna crew, make some noise for Mia Aurora! 

Mia Aurora is a London-based Melodic House and Techno DJ/Producer. Drawing on influences from labels including Afterlife, Anjunadeep and Bedrock, Mia’s DJ sets range from melody driven house and electronica to darker, techno influenced releases.

Mia began her musical journey from an early age, becoming proficient in guitar and piano as well as songwriting and producing. In 2019, she graduated from the Abbey Road Institute following her studies in Music Production and Sound Engineering. 

During her time there, Mia engineered records with artists including Moses Boyd, Poppy Ajuda and Mogli as well as working alongside industry leading producers and engineers.

Quickly finding her sound in the electronic world, Mia has seen a rapid ascent up the DJ ranks, playing at iconic venues across London including Printworks, Fabric, Phonox and Egg London. She’s played events for London-based electronic label Anjunadeep, as well as supporting Yotto, Guy J, Adana Twins and Jody Wisternoff.

Kicking off 2022, Mia has taken her sound global, already playing DJ sets in Dubai and Tel Aviv, with more international shows to come later in the year including Albania, Ibiza and a headlining India tour too....
