Hello everyone and welcome! If you don't know by now, this is the infamous Il Modo Progcast, a non-stop delivery of exclusive DJ mixes bought directly to your browsers by the world's finest music selectors. Every week we hit up another dance-floor hot spot, so let us see where we are today... 

A few weeks ago we debuted the series in Peru, the feedback was so good yet another fresh new DJ has emerged for you to wrap your ears around. In such a short space of time he's already establishing himself within the higher levels of our scene... please make some noise for Josema Romé !

Josema Romé is a DJ, Photographer and Musician based in Lima, Perú. He started DJ'ing in 2020 when the global lockdown was ongoing, and his band "Folka-Nova" couldn't meet to practise and create due to severe restrictions in his country.

This was when Josema discovered a new passion - Electronic Music, which soon flourished into something big. Since those very first days connecting with the scene, and mixing tracks together, he knew that Progressive House was the way. 

Very much influenced by the Progressive Rock and Jazz music genres of the 60's/80's, Josema is now helping to make waves in the Lima underground music scene. By fronting two musical projects his aim is to promote this scene to the outside world. The first one is "The Artisan's Path" where he puts together an artisan and a DJ and films the DJ set while the artist works on a piece of art The final product is a unique handcrafted item, utilitarity or ornamental, (or both)  that promotes the artisans work, and an audiovisual production promoting the DJ and his music which is shared online across the globe. And secondly he is also a co-founder and resident of Scale Collective (@scalemusic.pe) promoting the Progressive House music culture by organising parties around Lima.

DJ Bio 🌍🎧

Born in 1960, I’ve been chasing the pulse of electronic music for decades. My journey began at 15 with the mind-expanding world of psychedelic rock, evolved into the energy of early ’90s house raves, and found its true home in the late ’90s psy-trance movement – a passion that never let go.

From 1997 to 2008, I played and danced across Northern Germany’s underground, from intimate clubs to open-air gatherings, appearing at Free Form, Darklight, Mushroom Magazine events, Café Nuclear, Little Tibet, and beyond.

After a fearless but ill-fated dive into event promotion in 2000, I took a long creative pause – only to return in 2022 with renewed fire. Today, my sets fuse house, techno, deep tech, and indie dance into progressive, hypnotic journeys designed to captivate dance floors without a way back.

Regularly releasing fresh mixes on SoundCloud and curating global sounds for 94,000+ followers via my “Trip_Space_Collector” network, I continue to explore the deep connection between rhythm, emotion, and the collective high of the dance floor.

From the psychedelic roots to the modern club circuit – I’m here for the long run, and the trip is far from over.
