My 3rd track! Inspired by some of the progressive house I've been hearing lately from the live sets of Spencer Brown, Simon Vuarambon and Guy J. For this track I tried to incorporate vocal pads, ambient sounds, sub melodies and textures to help keep things moving.

Malfunction

The Breath After
There is a moment when you know the storm has passed.
Muscles soften, the chest feels lighter.
Liberex is the full breath,
the one no longer afraid of absence.
Pads unfold, the rhythm flows freely,
metal dissolves back into flesh.
This is deliverance,
and each pulse is a promise of tomorrow.

3 QUESTIONS to ANII:

Q: You recently signed to KOMPAKT. A dream became true?

A: Haha - well, I feel like I’m dreaming. I didn’t only just sign to Kompakt, I feel like I found a new home for myself and my music. The entire Kompakt team has been so wonderful. I feel extremely lucky and very excited for what will come in 2018.

Q: Tell us about your selection. How did these tracks find the way to your heart once?

A: This was way more fun to put together than expected. I ended up recording precisely 100 minutes for your no. 100 series which I thought was pretty cool as I didn't intend to do it. I put my set together in a way to present my journey from 1998 all the way through to my first release on Making You Dance Records (as Ańii) from early 2016. This gave me the opportunity to go back in time which brought back a ton of memories! I hope that after listening to my set that you will understand a bit more about me.

Q: Which Anii projects are coming this year?

A: I’m taking it slow for the time being as I am very excited about my first Kompakt 12" EP which is out in March and already working on another release for them. Right now I am doing a remix for a really cool Indie band Cults which should be out in late-January.

Agatha was suggested to us from Barcelona for Promise Cherry Beach by an agent who gave us a long list of availables. We listened and she stood out from them all - we checked 3 of her sets on repeat for a week. 
We loved her deep textured moody techno and believed, even though we've never seen her live, that she would bring the same magic to your beach. Her mixing of sounds and moods was so slippery and thoughtful, we're so fortunate to be able to share it with you. Keep your eyes on her, she'll be back.

She soon got into production, and has had a string of releases on labels like Night Light Records, Stick, In’deep’n’dance, Dynamo, Definitive, and many more. Gaining support from many of the big players in the scene, Tina’s music has made it onto the BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, and been charted and played by DJs like Richie Hawtin and Bart Skils.

Her groovy take on techno has brought her all around Europe, with gigs in cities like London, Barcelona and Berlin.
