@latteo was born and raised in Sicily so soaked up coastal sounds when not staring at the stars. He has long been a DJ but is now cooking up his own rich deep and acoustic house sound. It is infused with sounds picked up from his worldly travels - from bird calls to thunder, poetic lyrics to the raw power of analogue acid synths and tribal rhythms. He combines field recordings in a way that represents his Italian heritage and often collaborates with vocalists "who have the same desire to express a rather unusual message." Since the day I embarked on my musical journey, I've been envisioning the launch of this Mixtape series. Its significance to me is amplified by the fact that the first recording took place on a serendipitous night in our camp - Berlin Bedouins - at Africa Burn. 

After three exhilarating days at the Burn, as the energy began to wane, I  started to play a set for our camp, aiming to provide a space of relaxation and ease. Much to my astonishment, it took no time at all for a mesmerizing and affectionate vibe to manifest on the dance floor.

In the realm of party scenes, particularly during the nocturnal hours, the emphasis is often on more energetic and progressive beats, often sidelining the space for gentle and soothing melodies. This Deep & Mellow mixtape series is a haven for all the dreamers and romantics out there, seeking beats that transport them into realms of reverie.

Frisch gestärkt durch das Sonnenbad lege ich mir eine neue Strategie zurecht. Mit reiner Wiedergabe von Informationen, die auch aus jeder Facebook-Veranstaltung oder jedem Flyer entnommen werden können, werde ich nicht viele Menschen Überzeugen. Als Botschafter der Musik muss ich Enthusiasmus verbreiten und ekstatische Vorfreude erzeugen. Doch Worte allein können mir hier nicht weiterhelfen. Ich muss die Musik für sich sprechen lassen, aber stilvoll! Meine Aktion sollte Aufmerksamkeit erregen. Wie ein Blitz schießt mir eine Idee in den Sinn. Ich steige in die nächste Straßenbahn und fahre in die Innenstadt. Rastlos durchquere Antik- und Vintagemärkte bis ich den perfekten Gegenstand für meine Aktion gefunden habe. Jetzt muss ich noch einen alten Kumpel besuchen, der einen lokalen Radiosender betreibt. Schnell konnte ich ihn von meiner Vision begeistern und er ist mit an Bord. Zwei Tage später soll die Aktion steigen. Dann wird ein grandioses Set im Radio zu hören sein und ich kann meine Vision einer lauten Welt den Menschen präsentieren.

Die Vorfreude auf Musik kann den Tag versüßen. Darum möchten wir euch heute einen Grund mehr präsentieren sich auf den Feierabend zu freuen. juSt b hat uns eine deep story erstellt, welche die gute Laune in den Alltag zurückbringt.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
