In the world of electronic music sometimes things can all get a bit serious. Anoraks bang on about the catalogue numbers of  the 5 releases on minuscule techno labels long since lost as people over analyze  the exact meaning of the smallest of details and the inspirations behind it. It is into this atmosphere that we turn to the lighter side of the scene to break up this seriousness and this weeks exclusive podcast comes from a man of whom his biography lists his achievements as being one of the greatest human beings to have walked the earth, being a member of the inter-galactic council of 9 for a number of years and being recently awarded the prestigious role of Minute taker for Brent council narcoleptic society. We’re of course talking about the electronic production and DJing maverick that is Klute. 
Head of his own esteemed label Commercial Suicide Klute has also released on many of the most prestigious labels in the world, such as Metalheadz, R:Soul, Hospital, 31 Records, Shogun Audio and Certificate 18 amongst others whilst collaborating with many studio greats too, such luminaries as Lamb, Mogwai, Bis, Natasha Atlas, Harold Budd, Concord Dawn and John Tejada to name but a few.

So with a performance at Basslaced presents A Bunch Of Cuts alongside Calibre, Dbridge and Doc Scott at London’s Fire scheduled in for the 8th of November we thought it was about time we brought the respected techno and drum and bass producer to the DT podcast for his unique take on all things electronic. Beast River Records proudly presents "SOUL DEEP," the debut EP on the label from the up and coming artist Barry Sound who has been recently releasing quality stuff on your favorite underground deep house labels.

We got 2 original tracks showing what Barry does best: Deep House, along with a remix from Bruno Bar.

The fist track "Goodbye" blends classic deep house with lo-fi elements, featuring emotive pads and a groovy bassline that's sure to stir your feelings and get you dancing.

The title track, "Soul Deep," mesmerizes with its hypnotic groove and killer acid house vibes. A must-listen for all the deep house heads.

Last but not least, we have a remix by Bruno Bar, who turned the original track into a deeper version with some nice piano house and soulful vocals as part of his signature sound.

The Get Serious boys strike again, this time on the I'm in love main serie. And for this EP they've teamed up with Federico Alfieri to show us a deeper musical approach, more focused on dub. 'Aire' on the A-Side comes with a danceable rhythm and a bleak atmosphere, created by magnificent dub elements. On the flop we have another dark, dubby bomb, perfectly fitting on every afterhour. It also strongly represents our musical intention by drawing the connection to the labels first release.

Am 22.05.2025 habe ich einen Livegig bei 674.fm gespielt und meinen kleinen Koffer mit allerlei Mini-Synthesizern dabei gehabt. Außerdem hat man mir ein Mikrofon hingestellt, in das ich manchmal aus Versehen reingesungen habe. Und die Melodica hat auch eine gewisse Rolle gespielt. Hat Spaß gemacht! Bitte habt ebensolchen Spaß mit diesem Mitschnitt!

On 22 May 2025, I played a live gig at 674.fm and had my little suitcase with all kinds of mini synthesizers with me. I was also given a microphone, which I sometimes accidentally sang into. And the melodica also played a certain role. It was fun! Please have just as much fun with this recording!

Bleep-infused moments come courtesy of the modern masters KiNK & Neville Watson, with ‚Nighttime Raw‘, while Sasse pumps out a seriously heavy windy city-styled attack in ‚Hot For You‘.

Much-loved newcomer The Revenge contributes ‚Elements of Fife‘, a slow grooving New York / Chicago crossover styled beauty. Then, in all out lush-chorded goodness, Ribn gives us their powerful ‚Pancake‘! Newblood Polus hit dead centre with a modern yet hauntingly reminiscent nighttime jam; ‚Patterns In The Dark‘, followed by Deetron‘s deep-bomb ‚The Maze‘ - an amazing journey through the smoke-filled labyrinth.

Berlin mainstay Clé takes us right back with his super funky ‚Feel It (Don‘t Cha Know)‘, warm and classy. Deepsters TJ Kong & Modular K give us their ‚Jack Shit‘ in a slow burning Chi-town acid groover. Cab Drivers return with a real classic-themed killer, ‚Shoulder Pad‘, that harks back to their 90‘s days, and finally the mighty Redshape gives us his darkly acidic ‚Funny Green Hat (Altered Mix), which seriously needs to be heard to be believed!!
