Back so soon? You guys are AMAZING. It's been 2 month since my last listens "special", and in that time you've DOUBLED this shit! I'm legitimately blown away. I'm grateful for every person who's listened to/enjoyed my content, even if it's just a one off. And, if you took the time to follow my work, thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

You'll Never Feel Oldie But Happy

A VERY loosely Konami-arcade-based cover of the Intro theme to Gofer no Yabou: Episode II/Nemesis III for YM2608 (mostly just FM, rarely used SSG). This song is one of my favorites for MSX and one of the most iconic, in my opinion. From this game on, in almost every release, Konami used a special formula to dynamically morph SCC channel waveforms, usually for growls and roars, but occasionally for sound effects, and in the case of Metal Gear 2 special attacks and shifting sounds. It was first used at the very very end of this song, and for that reason I feel like this is an era-defining piece SCC music.

I think I did the song, and most importantly, the SCC growl, justice.

I really like trying to make sequences not only fit the style of a song, but also work under the same limitations. In other words, this works on the "8 voices only, FOOL" rubric. Having to re-instate the Expression for the backing organs was annoying, but whatever.
