Noémi Büchi (*1991, Zürich) is a Swiss/French composer and sound artist that creates and explores the potential of cross genre musical structures. Her music is defined by a delicate synthesis of textural rhythms and electroacoustic-orchestral abstraction. She contrasts rhythmic physicality with disruption and playfully emphasizes irregularities, creating an expansive listening experience marked by detail and elevation. Her musical work moves in the areas of electroacoustic composition, live performances, audiovisual shows, music for film, music for contemporary dance, music for installations, music for theater and for orchestral works. She holds a Master's degree in electroacoustic composition from the ZHdK (Zürich) and a Bachelor's degree in musicology and German literature/linguistic from the University of Zürich. During and after her studies, she played at various festivals and received a cultural prize from the city of Zürich. She regularly invited at renowned national and international festivals such as Ars Electronica (AUT), Mutek Festival (ESP), L.E.V. Festival (ESP), Variations Festival (FR), Linecheck Festival (IT).

Dunkeltier, aka Sneaker (@sneakerdj and @sneaker-edits), aka Gino Galan, aka Lupo in Bionda e Lupo (check their 716 Playlist and their upcoming EP « Die Kinder Aus Dem Park« ), aka Dérive with June (@june), aka Serial Error with Jacob Korn (@jacob-korn) & Credit 00 (@credit-00), aka another name to be found for his two projects coming with Scannoir (@scannoir) in 2018, aka many other names you might ignore…  has been here for a long time now in the underground « electro » music scene in the super wide meaning of the word. He released for numerous labels but has been particularly close of Uncanny Valley Records (@uncanny-valley-dresden), including its sublabel Rat Life Records, and Frigio Records (@frigio-records) run by our friend Juanpablo (check his 716 Mix).
Sneakers contribution is the reenactment of his long prepared mix of Russian (Italo) Disco and Post Punk for the Friday afternoon slot at the Camp Cosmic festival 2017. For those who don’t know it yet – CC is THE event for disco diggers in Europe since 2011 - invented by Albion (@big-muffle) in Sweden and now co-hosted by Spacelex (@spacelex) and a bunch of underground supporters from Dresden and Berlin.

“It’s not easy to be free, but it’s harder not to be”.These are the first words to Bad Woman, Céline Gillain’s debut LP on DRAMA.

I’ve never had that many difficulties writing a text for a release. There were easy ways of dealing with it actually, like isolating some of the lyrics and making aphorisms out of them that would have punctuated the text. I could have also wrote about her music with hackneyed words and glamorous comparisons with the likes of Laurie Anderson or Leslie Winer.

Maybe is it because it summons the influence of artists that have been crucial in our lives, maybe is it because of the ambition and the absolute sincerity emanating from this record, maybe is it also because of the utter contemporaneity of the record… but I feel stuck.

So I will only say a couple of things. If the idea of an LP following her debut 7″ on Lexi Disques gets you as excited as we were and still are, you won’t be disappointed by Bad Woman. The music on the upcoming album definitely is pop music, but in a disturbing, beyond « good » and « bad » taste kind of way.

It sometimes feel as if Bad Woman has been written by a former Pop diva that saw her expectations being shattered by life and now tries to make her come-back with a new album, influenced by what she believes to be contemporary pop music. The thing is, the result is a mutant blend of everything and anything that has been produced by the music industry these last 30 years, from Cher’s delirious come-back in the 1990’s to the most embarrassing moments in Dance music, and it rather sounds like a record that would have been written in a parallel universe.

That being said, Bad Woman tackles painful issues about our lives as individuals and society but with absolute elegance. After months of being the only one able to listen to it, no need to say that Zaltan & I are now extremely proud and happy to see this record coming to life. Thank you Céline for untrusting with taking care of your album.

CÉLINE GILLAIN - FIGHT OR FLIGHT (DRAMA2)

Following on from the deranged machine mulch of the Cru Servers we proudly announce the second record on the label to emerge from our native south side of Glasgow. Lo Kindre is the solo project of Irish/Luxembourgish bedroom producer, amateur footballer and award-winning bartender Daniel Magee. Crawling out from the undergrowth at the speed of a snail with dreadlocks this six track EP builds upon his previous venture for Optimo Music and manages to enchant in many of the same ways. Chlorophytum ticks all of the right boxes, sitting somewhere between a budding sci-fi homage, drum machine escapism and a fascination with the motorik styles of West Germany and the wider On-U continuum. Lo Kindre's sound has recently developed by way of countless hours spent twiddling with delay units alongside vintage Italian football commentary and murky casks of Tennents. It culminates here in the following six tracks. The seventh 12th Isle now ecstatically morphs from our galaxy into yours.

Last found dishing out a batch of hazed-out dubs and flavourful summer goodies on Steffi's imprint Dolly, French producer Nicolas Olier aka @conidj resurfaces this year with some big news as he will kick off his own imprint Firecamp early June with 'Transperce' - his debut instalment under the new alias of Ce Raid Solitaire.

Argentinean Damian aka Skelesys is a versatile, ever-evolving and particularly cutting-edge artist. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he has freshly settled in the creative surroundings of Berlin. Besides his passion for painting, electronic music has become the center of his artistic life – so he’s a producer and live act with a strong musical background inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, Coldwave and science fiction or horror movies. Playing the drums at the age of three became his first love. After several years of playing in live bands, producing electronic music has opened a whole new world to him that would change his way of hearing, composing and feeling music.

His sound can be defined as haunted, functional and effective, as a result of a delicate and neat mixture of Post-Punk, Cold Wave, Italo Disco and Techno. Marked basses are accompanied by thrilling melodies and subtle grooves, surrounded with a touch of darkness and a stripped-down futuristic vibe – not afraid of experimenting and looking deep into the void between the senseless and the rhythmic.
