Des boîtes à rythmes et du synthétiseur à profusion, des paroles qui évoquent essentiellement l’amour et la nuit, un résultat qui flirte souvent avec le mauvais goût… L'Italo-Disco est un style musical tape-à-l'œil que l'on apprécie justement pour ses excès. Mais son appellation est parfois trompeuse : dès le début des années 80, des artistes en quête de succès et d'argent se sont inspirés de cette mode bien au-delà des frontières de l'Italie. Notamment de l'autre côté des Alpes...

Ces 18 productions francophones ou françaises (1982-1987) font partie du large héritage laissé en Europe et ailleurs par l'Italo-Disco et ses dérivés. Ce « Week-End À Rome » s’autorise d'ailleurs quelques escapades dans le French-Boogie et la New-Wave. I wish there were more places on earth where clubbing crowds are open minded enough to dance like crazy to this kind of set. It took place on Saturday morning, playing into the sunrise of the Cosmic Stage in Chemnitz/Germany. All improvised and inspired by all the other outstanding dj sets that I have the chance to witness yearly at this very sacred spot called Cosmic Gathering/Camp Cosmic. I'm very grateful to be part of this ever inspiring community like no other. After 5 years it's the first time the recording of my set actually succeeded so I'm excited to share it with you, full of errors, fx overdosing, much laughter and crazy dancin'. Thanks to everyone involved and cya next year!

Ana Helder is certainly one of the female DJs who first represented the sound and soul of South America in electronic music.
Since a while she lives between two continents and likes to sit on the fence: Argentinian breed Ana Helder is part of the global team Cómeme and as a producer, she has develop a steady, growing discography with a deep musicality and an open attitude to house music, amplifying the genre with discreet boogie, disco and funk particles.
Her DJ sets are dedicated to the rough riding way of dance music, where a loco kind of Jack is king and wily rhythms thrill your senses. When she is not touring around the globe, she dances with her South American peers in cities like her hometown Rosario, Buenos Aires, Brazil or Santiago de Chile.
In 2020´s may she has dropped “Landpark” a five new tunes EP on Müstique that if you listen you’ll wish acid never dies and a month later she debuts on Optimo Music Digital Danceforce with “Boleto 101” EP where Some psychedelic overdubs on a Minimoog fill the funky space.
