Volume 1 • Imagika Om Live at Kalani, Big Island, Hawaii • Sunday Morning Ecstatic Dance • July 29, 2024

My ecstatic dance set from Kalani’s legendary Sunday morning dance on the Big Island, July 29, 2024.  This is the first of a series of mixes I will be releasing this summer.

I opened the space singing live over an unreleased track co-created with Tyler Gibson, Vajra & Creative Frequencies, featuring my swarmandal & frame drum. Creative Frequencies performed live with me—layering bowls, gongs & vocals—while Vajra added didgeridoo, together weaving a live raw portal into the dance, & shared the joy of jamming our track live.

The dance journey flows through deep bass, melodic medicine, tribal textures, & reflects the vibe here on Big Island & our dance.  May this offering guide you into your body, & your own remembering wherever you are. 

We closed the space with a sound healing, once again with Creative Frequencies: I’m on live vocals, Crystal Matrix on handpan & gong, and Kurt with vocals and bowls, gently guiding the dancers back into stillness and integration.

I haven’t released a mix since 2020 & not on this page for even twice as long as that—even though I’ve been playing all along. A part of me has loved keeping the music in the moment, ephemeral, secret.  But another part of me is rising once again, ready to return to bringing the energy out to the rest of the world.

This summer, I’m opening the vault.

At Kalani, the birthplace of the modern ecstatic dance movement that has rippled out across the world, we opened with an invocation that was an ode to sound.  I offered live vocals & layered textures. Adele brought soul-stirring violin melodies. Creative Frequencies enveloped the space with crystal bowls & gongs.  From this live, improvised blessing, the journey opened into an ecstatic wave before returning to stillness in a spacious closing sound healing by Creative Frequencies, handpan by Laura & subtle vocal tones by Kirt.

Childhood friends Shamil & Jason who grew up together in Maputo, Moçambique, South Eastern Africa, became the duo Perspectiv when they both moved to Vancouver, Canada; weaving their multicultural backgrounds into a story that is expressed best through their diverse taste in music. Navigating through frequencies that merge organic instruments with deep electronic elements, while infusing funky rhythms that span from Latin America to their mother continent of Africa, Perspectiv reveals a wild passion for transcending the boundaries of different genres and combining music that seamlessly takes listeners from downtempo to upbeat groove. Keep tune as they will be releasing new music within the next few months. 

Mixed during the duo’s first Quarantine livestream at YouPlusOne headquarters in Vancouver, this 173th edition encompasses some of their favorite new and old songs that are woven together to take listeners traveling through the world's diverse sounds from the comfort of their homes. The 107-min’ session took inspiration from the prospect that amidst all the uncertainty during this global pandemic, they sought refuge in the certainty of their passion for world music and sharing it with the global community, and throughout all of this we can rethink our systems and relations with the world and others. Hoping that music continues to present a worldwide language that all can tune into and be positively influenced by.

It is with deep joy and blessings that I present to you the title track of my new album ‘Honour All Creation’. This song is one of the most powerful creative expressions as a musician, evoking a universal credo for us all as an anthem for a new world just now being birthed. Happy Gemini New Moon!

My new album will be OFFICIALLY released on June 20th, the Summer Solstice 🌟I cannot think of a better date to share this beauty with the world.

HONOUR ALL CREATION has been an album I've been dreaming of making for many years now. The album title was inspired by an Ayahausca journey I experienced in Yelapa, Mexico where I was on retreat with Dr. Gabor Mate. Mother Aya initiated me as a Rainbow Warrior and after a serious of stunning initiations, I was shown the throne that humanity sits upon in the cosmic order. It was a beautiful and immense throne carved from wood and engraved above it was the credo 'Honour All Creation'. 

The album itself has been created during this time of sacred pause, pandemic and quarantine as I've found myself lingering in the beautiful oceanic, jungle wilds of Costa Rica and living with some wonderful artists. One of them, the brilliant Steffen Ki, has been the devoted producer helping me bring these many songs and visionary sounds to life. 

I see the album as a collection of anthems for creating a new world as we are so called during this time of pause; to course correct and, above all, understand how we can heal our horrendous separation from Mother Earth, who is regenerating and healing magnificently at this time when human activity has been largely halted.
Mother Earth is fittingly an immense inspiration for the album and many songs are devoted to Her, from the opening invocation, 'Sophia's Smile', to the first single 'Oh My Goddess' and my deep ode to Her that I wrote long ago 'GAIA'. The album also features some of my continued work as a spoken word artist spoken here over celestial soundscapes co-created between Steffen and I. I am also happy to share that the album features my song ‘Woman (Sage of Surrender)’ an ode to all women that has been around for some time and many have asked for a recording of it. The album also features some beautiful musical guests such as the angelic cello playing of Lucas Tensen, the guitar wizardry of Patrick O’Reilly, the brilliant musicianship and productions skills of Jeremy Legault  and the seraphic voice and spirit of Maywa from Aluna Ritual Music. Pre-order details will be coming soon.

On June 20th I will be LIVE STREAMING a virtual listening party from my wondrous abode at the moment here in Costa Rica at 1:11pm EST followed by a Q & A about the creation and meaning of the album. We are also shooting a music video for ‘Oh My Goddess’ which I hope to release soon enough as well. 

Finally, I’m also so happy to present the single artwork here which highlights a continued collaboration with genius visionary artist, Paul Zulauf, who I highly recommend. Paul also designed the cover art for my last three albums, Mystical Meditations, New Moon Vibes Sound Ceremony, Woman: Passion Poems of the Sacred Feminine

This was one of my last ecstatic dance sets before the world shifted, it was on the Big Island, Hawaii, on a full moon steamy night with the potent Garden Temple tribe & the powerful volcanic land there for their final event.  This wild night was one of my favorite sets of all time, the dance floor was packed & moved as one teaming sweaty mass of ecstasy, & the energy was full on fire lightning kundalini activation. I played so many genres for a full bodied, full on, full spectrum experience.   

The moon at that time was a Cancer Moon during the time of Capricorn.  It was Jan 9th, 2020.  I am releasing it 6 months later on the cusp of the Capricorn Moon during the sign of Cancer right before Fourth of July.
