‘In The Silence’ has made Ásgeir a fast growing sensation across Europe, and is released in the USA on 4th March via Columbia Records.

‘In The Silence’ is the English language version of Ásgeir’s original ‘Dyrd í dauðathogn’ debut which made him a folk hero back home in his native Iceland winning him 4 Icelandic Music Awards and a nomination for the Nordic Music Prize. It is now Iceland’s best selling debut album of all time by a domestic artist with 10% of the population owning the album.

Recorded back in 2012 for the original Icelandic album, ‘Dyrd í dauðathogn’, ‘Stormurinn’ was removed from the track list at the last moment in favour of ‘Að grafa sig í fönn’ (‘Head In The Snow’).
 
The 3 CD ‘Deluxe Edition’ comprises the original 2012 Icelandic version, ‘Dyrd í dauðathogn’ – the album that made him Ásgeir a folk hero back home – plus the English-language version, ‘In The Silence’ and a 3rd CD of rarities and previously unheard material including remixes from Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Lana Del Ray, Foxes) & Dot Major (London Grammar).
