i wasn't able to be a part of your tribute celebration tonight, but i'd still like to pay my homage and respect. although i didn't know you personally, the transparency of your music connected us, and i feel like i've lost a friend. the ones that were lucky enough to know you say beautiful things; that not only were you a phenomenal musician, but a phenomenal human the same. i'm honored to hear stories about your grace, your love, your laugh, your honesty.

you've taught us so much. the power of music and how it transcends anything physical, the importance of taking our time and putting quality into our art, but more so, how to love one another. mac, you extended your hand to so many artists in this industry, and although i am inspired by it, i grieve because i know there aren't many more like you. still, i'm thankful for your demonstration and hopeful that more of us will use you as a prototype.

i covered 'Come Back To Earth' to honor you, but in the midst of it, i heard how you were hurting. my prayer is that you're free now. may the Lord keep you flying. may you rest in peace.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Iman Europe releases her debut album, Nami. Nami is Iman's name backwards; a nickname given to her as a child. Ironically enough, Nami also means "wave" in Japanese and "us" in Polish, which plays a part in the thematic direction of the album. In this Los Angeles love story, Iman showcases her sonic versatility and immaculate writing skills, while keeping listeners engaged from start to finish. According to Iman Europe, she "made an album, album", taking the time to skillfully craft a storyline that many listeners can follow and relate to. "This is a story of falling in and out of love with someone, ultimately to find that love within yourself," she says. Tapping into her Creative Writing Bachelor's Degree, Iman also wrote an affirmation book titled Nami Says to accompany the album.
