Michele Di Leonardo  is a composer of ambient and electronic music. With the help of analog and digital instruments he combines classic atmospheres with refined sounds, recreating changing "soundscapes".
He began to approach the world of music at a very young age by starting classical music studies and playing the transverse flute. Later he adds classical guitar and electric bass.
The arrival to electronic-ambient-experimental music was born in recent years.
The "SoundTrack - Residencies" project, an artistic residence organized by the Zō Cultural Association of Catania with the support of MiBAC and SIAE, contributed to its training. Michele Di Leonardo is in fact selected from several Sicilian composers. The project involves the creation of an unpublished musical work that explores the relationship between electronic music and its possible applications in performative events or audiovisual products.
Three tutors support the project: Teho Teardo, Murcof (Fernando Corona), Andrea Belfi.
Starting from 2017 Michele Di Leonardo will stage the performance "QBO Project" in collaboration with the video collective "Pixel Shapes". The installation was presented in art galleries, cultural events and in festivals such as the "Mish Mash Festival 2018" at the Castle of Milazzo (ME) and at the "Sequenze Fest 2018" at the Real Teatro di Santa Cecilia in Palermo.
Michele Di Leonardo is also part of the duo "MiDiLe & Moonyang" who tries to combine minimal electronics with classical music and, together with "Pixel Shapes", have created an audio-video performance that leads the viewer into an unprecedented perception of space and time.
