Gustavo Plaza is a musician, producer and DJ born in the city of Maracay, Venezuela, currently residing in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his career in 2009, making mostly Techno music, and had the opportunity to release his first track on the hungarian label Speaker Destroyer, then he continued his growth by releasing tracks on other foreign Techno labels such as Elementz (Belgium), Bonehead (Germany), Technomoshpit (USA), Under Techno (Mexico), among others. 

His talent and passion for making music led him to position himself as a reference for the venezuelan underground scene, as well as in Latin America, North America and Europe, by releasing tracks under different names such as Demencio (Hard Techno), Gus P (Groove Techno), DJ Guz (Dark Techno) and currently with his real name, Gustavo Plaza (Deep House, Melodic House/Techno, Afro House). 

Apart from his career as a producer and DJ, he has also been part of different band projects, playing different instruments. Currently, he is part of the Synth Pop duo Telefonema, with Alelí Cheval. 

In 2021, he played in the world known event Burning Man, in its virtual edition, playing a DJ Set alongside artists such as Chus, Matthias Tanzmann, Hector Romero, and others. Upcoming releases leaning towards Afro House, Melodic House & Techno and Organic House are already confirmed and expected for December 2021 and the rest of 2022 on known labels from around the world.

ABOUT:
East Recordings is an underground house music label established in April 2015.

The label is the imprint of Brick Lane Radio, a radio station and blog set-up in 2013 by an east London DJ collective and headed up by Pablo del Monte. Its sound lies on the deep-house-techhouse-accessible techno spectrum. But rather than being restricted to specific genres East Recordings seeks two common elements in the music it signs: tight grooves and musicality. So whether it be the proper house vibes of Pablo del Monte or Thallulah, William Medagli & Jose Maria's contemporary take on techno dance floor-orientated beats and musicianship are at the forefront of the qualities you will hear.

Alongside a roster of more established artists East Recordings prides itself at unearthing new artists.  And in an era of throw-away releases the label takes its time A&Ring quality music and sticks to a monthly release schedule, ensuring high standards in terms of both output and artist liaison.   East Recordings has also invested in building relationships with the key stores, especially Traxsource and Juno, over time ensuring that releases receive support from these platforms.  

This coupled with the quality of the music has meant that the last twenty East Recordings releases have all charted with numerous top 30s and a handful of top 10s along the way. Our most successful releases to-date are Pablo del Monte's 'House to House' which spent months in the charts after being supported heavily by Marco Carola at his Music On night, and Granite State's 'Tuku' which got picked up on by Mark Knight and was played in episode 367 of his Toolroom Radio Show on Spotify.

CLUB NIGHT: In 2016 we set up the third arm that makes up the triangle of our collective: our party Throw It Up. We've ran a number of successful and ever-increasingly attended events at venues in east London such as Trapeze, 93 Feet East, the Bedroom Bar and Shoreditch Platform, as well as secret parties in venues such as a printer's warehouse under a railway arch off Brick Lane. We get to feature East Recordings artists at these parties and, as such, the sound reflects that of the label, as well as booking guest 'name' DJs whose style fits ours.

F*** me it looks like a spaceship in here. That’s how the builder reacted when entering Endaf’s studio for the first time. Music Producer. DJ, Promoter & Record Label founder, Endaf has been busy spinning records and twiddling knobs for 10 years and hails from the mountains of North Wales. His productions showcase his introvert and extravert sides ranging from his mellow, jazzy electronic jams influenced by the likes of (James Blake, FKJ, Ifan Dafydd) all the way to his let’s see that bass face House bangers made for the club.

His club night ‘High Grade Grooves’ has a weekly residency at Cube Nightclub, Bangor, this is where you’ll hear his unreleased tracks first, so becoming a record label was the natural progression for High Grade Grooves to distribute his music worldwide.

GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and love for cables has led to Endaf creating a live set consisting of Synthesisers, Drum Machines, Samplers, Step Sequencers, MIDI Controllers, gives the power of creating and remixing electronic music LIVE, allowing room for improvisation making each performance unique.  Expect to hear those Lazy Jams of his, but with a fat 909 beat behind, transforming them in to club bangers.  

2019 has been a big year having been selected as one of BBC Horizons 12 supported Artists and the unveiling of the Live Set.  Expect a stream of releases coming your way for the rest of the year, including exciting collaborations with artists such as Eadyth, Ifan Dafydd, Dion Jones & Sanna Hartfield.
