Damone Walker, better known in the music world as “DeeWunn” was born in Kingston and was raised in Spanish Town, Jamaica. DeeWunn is known for being a part of Ward 21’s “Bada Bada Gang” and as an artist who has mastered the “Yardcore” style. 

If you had to categorize the artist, you simply couldn’t. DeeWunn is popularly known for being a “Jamaican Hybrid” as he brings forth his own hybrid sound, creating a different dimension and meaning to the budding genre of “Yardcore”.

Kemar Henry, known by his stage name TamaRe, is a Jamaican rapper and songwriter hailing from Kingston, Jamaica. Born on August 29th, 1985, at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, TamaRe's journey into the world of music began in his early years.


A diligent student, TamaRe attended Tarant Basic and Primary School before enrolling at Calabar High School in 1997. Although he initially viewed poetry as a mere hobby, TamaRe's peers recognized the lyrical brilliance in his verses, likening it to the flow of rap music. Encouraged by their support, he delved into songwriting and discovered his natural ability to craft compelling rap lyrics.

In 2002, while still in school, TamaRe embraced dancehall music, inspired by acclaimed artists such as Vybz Kartel and Sizzla Kalonji, while still maintaining his innate flair for rap. Alongside three other talented individuals, D.Shade, Alti Ego, and Frass, TamaRe formed the group "Kemxtry Muzic" and initially adopted the moniker "Krysis."

Kemxtry Muzic's dedication and hard work caught the attention of listeners when they performed their song "Seven (7) Months" on KLAS Radio in 2005. Seeking guidance, they turned to music producer Jean Peli, who suggested they shift from rap and RnB to dancehall for broader appeal in the Jamaican market. While some members embraced the change, TamaRe and Kash Kapree remained devoted to their rap roots, marking the beginning of TamaRe's solo journey.

In 2008, TamaRe collaborated with Orville Smith, also known as Time Unlimited, on the "Reboot" mixtape, garnering significant airplay in Jamaica. The following year, he ventured into the American music scene, collaborating with Ace from Miami, Florida, on the track "Cash Feelings," which received a positive response.

In his pursuit of musical excellence, TamaRe utilized online platforms such as Dotpiff.com to access instrumentals, and he recorded his tracks in a makeshift home studio, driven by a lack of local producers who recognized his potential.

In 2011, TamaRe crossed paths with producer and friend I Am France, leading to a transformative upgrade in his career, pushing him towards a more professional approach. By 2013, he recorded captivating tracks like "Up" and "Abracadabra" at Main Focus Studios, further solidifying his position as a rising rap artist.

In 2014, TamaRe joined Don't Fight It Productions (DFIP), signaling a new chapter in his artistic journey. Over the years, he continued to release impactful tracks and collaborations, including "Ain't Making" with Demo and tracks with Bank Roll like "Scheming," eagerly awaiting release.

TamaRe's musical endeavors have garnered recognition and accolades, with his song "Up" gaining significant attention and securing a place on Coast to Coast mixtapes' Top 100 list in December 2014. Additionally, he has worked on an album, still deliberating whether to release it as a full album or individual singles.

Currently, TamaRe is gearing up for the much-anticipated release of the "Da Vybz" album, set to debut in August 2023, showcasing his growth and artistic prowess as a seasoned rapper from Jamaica.
