Opener Timeless is a scintillating tune with nice synth leads heading off into the cosmos. The drums roll deep and the whole thing has a grand scale that leaves you in awe. System then gets more dark and dirty, with a more rugged bassline and flashy synths, rumbling kicks and pixelated cosmic pads. A great female vocal is the fine finishing touch to this most epic of tunes.

Premiere: Joseph Ashworth - Cobalt [Siamese]

An artist with a growing portfolio of high-profile releases to his name, California native Clay Smith returns to Perspectives Digital for his third outing with two new tracks titled "Rave Culture" and "Drumline". His debut "Jakarta Jam" EP was released on Darin Epsilon's imprint in February 2020, before returning a few months later in July with "Chords" and "Boom Shiva". Both EP's soared to the top of Beatport's coveted Progressive House and Organic House charts within a matter of days.

Harnessing a distinctive rhythmic style, Clay has grown in prominence from his home in Oakland on the east side of the San Francisco Bay. An artist who can chart his love affair with dance music back to an attendance at the city's "Lovefest" parade, he quickly found himself immersed in synths and electronic music, honing a natural talent that has since seen him carve out a growing name fo r himself.

Over time, a number of musical influences, and several different production monikers, Clay's attention on the "Burning Man" milieu started to see the Bay resident's musical ideas coalesce into a connected whole. Through his participation in the "Never Sleep Again" roster, his ability to understand the club environment and what makes dancefloors tick, has seen a seamless transition to the production arena and a musical style that sets him apart.

Opening with a trademark groove full of power and percussive intricacy, "Rave Culture" witnesses a bouncing bassline sequence that hypnotizes with its metronomic note placement. Before long, a searing glissando lead pitches and falls, cutting through the midrange alongside increasing hi-hat urgency. Hitting its stride in the second half, a delicate arpeggio adds to the musical tension as a series of effects create a strong dancefloor character.

In what might just be the most paradoxical year for him, with the least performances ever - yet the most interesting one musically, Hollt is back on his die Stube Records with ‘Silent Lost’; two tracks made using a different approach, but with the same energy as the outcome.

The title track ‘Silent Lost’ provides serious momentum with the leading bass melody throughout the entire length of the track. A never ending story with a drum-driven beat, enthralling breakdown and a drop that brings release. The track is a real message, an eye opener with some beautiful atmospheres which will guide you through its adventures.

‘Etna’ creates a strong and uplifting mood whilst it is calm in its breakdowns. A warm environment, triggered by a hypnotic melody line, this track is pure happiness. With a strong and solid groove, the track goes into the climactic breakdown. Whilst its unique sound design and pulsing triplet sets you off, everything falls into one place when it all comes together when the beat drops in again.
