Hip-Hop legend Edo.G teams up with his apprentices G. Dot & Born, Boston natives, to shine light on their story and style while also providing their own sound.  All production is handled by Confidence, who's claim to fame includes "Rashad and Confidence" and "Purpose and Confidence" on Ill Adrenaline Records and he produced seven tracks on Neek the Exotic’s “Hustle Don’t Stop” LP from 2012.  

The LP is fourteen tracks deep with Gdot & Born handling about half the duties on the mic, with the remaining tracks being handled by Edo.G, providing listeners with a nice diversity; while Confidence keeps a steady stream of that authentic Hip-Hop he is known for throughout.
     
Confidence, a student of the game dating back to the 90’s, first got a taste of music production in the mid 90′s while learning to DJ with his brother Technic.  His break didn't come until 2001 when he copped an MPC 2000xl which he still uses to this day to compose masterpieces.   

G. Dot & Born relay the struggle of survival in the streets with hard-hitting raw lyrics, traditional gritty street beats and a confident delivery that takes Hip-Hop back to its essence. G. Dot and Born stay true to the city of Boston that raised them and 90’s Hip Hop influences like J. Dilla, Sean P., Big Pun, Edo G., Kool G. Rap, AZ and Nas by embodying a humble braggadocio that only real life experiences teach you. 

Today, the group offers up a tribute song, “Living Legend,” dedicated to the one and only Pete Rock, featuring Pete’s former INI cohorts Grap Luva (Pete’s brother), Rob-O & EDO. G.

The Hundreds San Francisco Celebrates Its 6th Year with a Hieroglyphics Collaboration Capsule and Mixtape

 In commemoration of The Hundreds San Francisco’s 6-year anniversary, The Hundreds reunites with Bay Area hip-hop legends Hieroglyphics for a limited run of three exclusive tees. These tees will be available only at the THSF and www.shophiero.com, starting at 11am, Thursday, March 20, 2014. On the evening of this date, The Hundreds will be hosting a one-night-only event celebrating the store’s anniversary at POST Street.  Exclusively for THSF’s anniversary, a POST X Hieroglyphics mixtape will be available for download on TheHundreds.com and www.hieroglyphics.com mixed by DJ ICEWATER.

 Bobby Hundreds grew up on the esteemed Bay Area collective’s music, and all of the tees include some of his favorite elements from the Hieroglyphics legacy. From a Souls of Mischief lyric from the renowned album 93 ‘til Infinity, to a spin on an OG Del Tha Funkee Homosapien tee that, according to urban hip-hop folklore, is based on a napkin self-portrait Del drew. The Hundreds is thrilled to unite again with the Hiero crew in commemoration of THSF’s 6th year running.

 The Hundreds “Del Face” T-shirt features Del Tha Funkee Homosapien’s iconic self-portrait illustration on the front and a reappropriated The Hundreds X Hieroglyphics bomb logo at the top back. The shirt will be available in three colors.

The “Emcees” tee is emblazoned with the Souls of Mischief lyrics “Emcees Should Know Their Limitations” from their legendary 93 ‘til Infinity album. The collaborative bomb logo will be at the top back with “Souls of Mischief” stamped under. The shirt will be available in three colors.

 The “Overthrow” long sleeve features the The Hundreds X Hieroglyphics bomb graphic across the front and top back, with all the members of Hieroglyphics’ logos throughout the sleeves. The shirt will be available in three colors.

There will be no ‘Boss’ talk here. The underside of the street has oozed from the depths that once contained it and it has refused to recede. The shadows cast upon the block by the glimmering structures that tower over the city’s heart have begun to consume its source. Slowly making its way to the top floors, the once undaunted executive attempts to flee before being swallowed up by the fervor that is consuming the base. Yet, he has nowhere to run, for he has already climbed the ladder to the top and now his journey can only lead down. Those who rise-up burn the ink dyed parchment that litters the desktops and sign their name in ashes mixed with blood and sweat. Prepare for “Signature Time”.

Scored by the SP1200 Titan’s: Gensu Dean and Drumz & Llingo. KicDrum Products introduces their most recent 7’ series release, Signature Time (Tip it Back part II), the A-side produced by the Grand Imperial Gensu Dean--who's most recent work includes a long awaited link up with underground vet Planet Asia on their new Abrasions LP--on Mello Music Group. The incredibly hard and funky beat features the acrobatic flow and lyrical styling’s of Drumz & Llingo’s Llingo Apt and introduces a new talent to the KDP team, Baltimore’s verbal assassin Kenobi (the newest member of the KDP family). The triple threat of “Signature Time” is anchored by the “north Philly street mangler” himself, Walt Sicknin’ who’s microphone prowess electrifies the track and begs for a re-wind.

The B-side “Chamber Crack” (Sewer Mix) produced by Drumz & Llingo is an extremely dirty, grimy track that feels like it was actually created and recorded under North Broad St., although we can’t be sure. Walt Sicknin’s original flow and unparalleled storytelling ability make “Chamber Crack” one of those tracks that remind you when hip-hop sounded like the blocks it came from. The modern day soundtrack to the North Philadelphia streets is being fleshed out right here on wax. This solo effort puts on notice all rappers who rep the street but whose product appeals to the club. Most will not be shaking their ass to “Chamber Crack”, they will be shaking in their boots. Hip Hop Veteran and Smooth Assassin Grand Daddy I.U. returns with his latest album entitled P.I.M.P. (Paper Is My Priority) which was released on his independently owned Steady Flow Enterprises.

Born in Queens, NY and raised in Hempstead, Long Island. I.U. made his way into the game during the "Golden Era" of Hip Hop. He landed a deal with Cold Chillin' Records which featured luminary artists such as Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Kool G. Rap, MC Shan, and Roxanne Shante just to name a few. He quickly carved his niche as "The Barry White of Rap" with such classics as "Something New", "Sugar Free", "Girl In The Mall", and "This Is A Recording". I.U. went on to record two more albums and collaborated with the biggest and most talented artists in the game; including; Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, 2Pac, KRS-One, Ice T, Heltah Skeltah and Big L respectively. 

Grand Daddy I.U. continues to make hard beats and spit classic bars. In a world of Hip Hop where lyricism has taken a back seat to fashion, pre-school hooks and off beat flows, he seeks to bring skills back to the forefront with his new project and fourth official album P.I.M.P. (Paper Is My Priority) which was released in March 2015.  

Though I.U. handles most of the production himself, today he shares the Marco Polo produced album opener “P.I.M.P. Intro.”
