Earlier this year, Los Angeles based John Tejada released "Year Of The Living Dead”. Recorded during the monumental uncertainty of 2020, this full length brought out a blissful extended moment of balance between the new and the familiar in his music. Now, Tejada invites some of his favourite producers to reinterpret tracks from the album – the legendary Warp duo Plaid set their signature style to “Abbot Of Burton, whereas Jimmy Tamborello’s Dntel project combines layers of blissful moments from “Echos Of Life” to the timbre of a flute. Lawrence is one of Kompakt’s most beloved, kindred spirits and he turns “Panacea” into a gorgeously soulful house crooner perfect for the late hours that go on and beyond. John Tejada takes a turn readapting his own album highlight “Sheltered” into a club ready mix.

Frank & Tony drop their new Dream Vibration EP some 5 years after their last outing as a duo with the much-celebrated Odes EP.

Having teased the full release with two upfront tracks - Time Out Of Mind and Timmy Regisford’s masterful instrumental rework of Stretch Out Like The World, we now get to enjoy the full package.

Title track Dream Vibration kicks off with a lazy breakbeat, floating, barely-there chord washes and eventually and slowly reveals a thick, low kick and deep sub to drive things along.

Frank & Tony’s original version of Stretch Out Like The World features Eliana Glass on vocals - a melancholic but tough track that exudes a classic in the making.

Timmy Regisford’s vocal mix amps up the percussion to create a hypnotic club jam idea for an early morning Shelter dancefloor.

Demi-Monde started off in 2016 as a party series… from cross-périphérique basements to *Ambient Sessions* in abandoned rehearsal spaces, and massive club nights at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, La Rotonde Stalingrad and Concrete (Paris).

"Aurèle & Friends Vol. 1" is a tribute to the friendships I have built over the years within the electronic music scene. The result is a polychromatic bouquet of club tracks, oscillating between electro, breaks, rave and trance.

Ilan Kabiljo - Expressions Ep - IMOGEN Recordings 002 / November 2015

The Imogen label launched back in September with a pair of Ilija Rudman remixes of London Acid Jazz favourite Brand New Heavies. This second release sees them change tack somewhat, adopting an archival focus to dig out two tracks by Croatian hero Ilan Kabiljo. Known mostly for his '90s work, Kabiljo comes from legendary Croatian music stock - his father was composer and musician Alfons 'Alfi' Kabiljo. This Expression 12" sees Imogen dig through the Ilan archives for two rare and unreleased tracks records in 1990, with A side cut "Cool Nights" a supple midnight saunter through jazz funk that highlights Kabiljo's compositional class. "Golden Days" is just as good as sounds like a loving homage to the '80s.
