Recorded on July 26, 2013 .. in the Adirondack Park, Warren Co. , NY. 
I believe it to be a single, out of season (late) Western Chorus Frog. Could not match up anything else, that sounds similar to this.
Equipment used .. was a Zoom H2 recorder, set on 2 channel surround. Used as an overnight drop recorder.

Chorus Frog Like Call

Recorded on July 26, 2013.. in the Adirondack Park, Warren Co., NY. 
I am going, with a probable Barred Owl... because they were heard in the area, and the cadence and pitch is similar. Have never heard one call exactly like this, before. The calls were quite distant and were amplified, to better hear them.
Equipment used.. was a Zoom H2 recorder, set on 2 channel surround. Used as an overnight drop recorder.

Recorded on July 26, 2013... in the Adirondack Park, Warren Co., NY.  The sound of a tree fall , we had also heard from camp. This large birch tree, fell across.. the only way in or out of the remote area. We were fortunate enough.. to be able to drag it out with a rope and my vehicle, just enough to drive around it. It fell uphill, and over a large bolder.
Equipment used, was a Zoom H2 recorder set on 2 channel surround. This was used as an overnight drop recorder.

Tree Fall

Recorded on July 28, 2013.. in the Adirondack Park, Warren Co., NY.
Distant, and recorded in the early morning hours. Quite similar.. to the vocal I recorded in the spring of 2012, in the Green Mt. Natl. Forest, over the border, in Vermont.
Equipment used, was a Zoom H2 recorder (used as a remote drop recorder) set on 2 channel surround sound. The clip was both amplified and edited... to remove some of the noise floor.. while being careful, not to distort the vocal of interest.

Unknown distant vocal

Recorded on July 28, 2013.. in the Adirondack Park, Warren Co., NY.  After turning in and sleeping.. something falls on or near / or thrown at or on, the tent and mics. The mics were clipped to a large wild shrub, next to the tent. There were no trees, directly over the tent.
Amazingly...  this did not wake me up, as I was wearing the headphones when I fell asleep. My snoring, after the projectile lands.. is proof of that. The mechanical like sound of a grasshopper, can be heard at around the 40 second mark. The strange random rhythmic sounds after ( sounding like a tambourine ) .. I cannot account for. No idea... what produced this, or the loud projectile.
Equipment used... was a Sony PCM-M10 recorder, and a pair of Sony ECM-55b mics.

Projectile and strange rhythm sounds-edit

Recorded on July 28, 2013... in the Adirondack Park, Warren Co., NY.
Something approaches, bumps near (or on) the recorder, moves around the area, and then does it again. This could be a deer, or another smaller woodland creature. The recorder, was placed in a tree branch on a higher bank, so I had to reach up to place and retrieve it. The distant sounds of Barred Owl, can also be heard.. as well as the mechanical like sound of a grasshopper.

Recorder Approach,  Bump,  And Movements

Recorded  September 23, 2013.. on state forest lands in Allegany Co., NY. A compilation multitrack of unknown knocks, broken into 8 separate clips. The entire event, was just too long, for one Soundcloud track.. but is still saved and available.
The first two clips.. are individual knocks.. recorded before dawn. The third clip.. is knocks recorded while leaving my tent at dawn, to relieve myself. The forth clip.. are knocks recorded while out of the tent. The fifth clip, are two softer knocks, recorded after I returned to the tent. The sixth clip.. are multiple knocks recorded, with chickadee sounds closer to the tent. The seventh clip.. is a louder knock with distant train rumble, and blue jay sounds. The eighth clip.. is the most interesting (for me), with the sounds of very excited blue jays, a loud knock and other multiple sounding knocks.. along with the rumble of an approaching, and then passing.. jet. I had headphones on the entire night, and was awakened by the louder knocks and train noise. Some of my sleep sounds can be heard in the clips, as well as a varying breeze. Most knocks occurred, while conditions were calm. Before breakfast, my son and another family friend commented, on how they had also heard the loudest knocks from their tent. While preparing breakfast.. we All heard several loud and clear knocks to our north, in the forest. Unfortunately, those knocks were not recorded.

Recorded on September 23, 2013.. on state lands in Allegany Co., NY. The distant scream and follow up call, of a Barred Owl. My sleeping sounds and the sounds of a closer Blue Jay, can also be heard.

Recorded on September 23, 2013 in Allegany Co, NY. At around 1:10 AM.. a strange mumbled low roar / growl / grumble at :023, and a Strange higher pitched "peacock" call at :027. 
Equipment used was a Zoom H2 (as a drop recorder), that was left running, about a half mile from our camp.

Strange Sound And Call

Recorded in the yard, in our municipality outside of Cebu City, Philippines. This bird was displaying (tail spread) on the wall for it's mate, and managed to get a short audio clip.. that was not ruined with the sounds of any passing road traffic. Managed to get one picture, just before it flew elsewhere. The sounds of neighbors roosters, a TV, and distant traffic rumble, can also be heard.
