TOM HAZLETON in concert at the CASTRO THEATRE Wurlitzer
Recorded the first week of July, 1983, during the 
ATOS NATIONAL CONVENTION SAN FRANCISCO 
At the time of this recording, the instrument, the theatre's second pipe organ, was still being gradually installed by the Taylor family and Edward Millington Stout III, a project that began in 1979.  The Wurlitzer began playing nightly for movie intermissions in 1982.  It had 16 ranks of pipes playing at the time of this recording in the two chambers, controlled from the 4 manual white console on the lift in the orchestra pit.  It would eventually reach 21 ranks of pipes before 1990. It was unfortunately removed in 2015. 
Some have considered this the all-time finest marriage of a Wurlitzer pipe organ and theatre auditorium.

Memory

Love can hurt, cause pain and regret. On looking back you can find that the regret is unfounded. Take with you the positive and leave the hurt behind.

Listen for the resolve after the pain has gone, then one slight remembrance of that pain, then the final chord of hope.

I wrote this after talking to a dear friend who is a flight attendant. I was thinking of how he lifted my spirit and how so many of my friends have done that in the past. I just sat down and this came out.
