'Mr. President is Coming' is a track from the band's upcoming album When the Home is Burning which is soon to be released under the banner of Giant Leap Records which is a brand new record label from delhi . The song is based on a true incident. Two members of the band were canned by Imphal East Police personels in March 2013 for being  at Mahabali area near Konung Mamang. It was  the duty of the Police to check out places for security reason as the president was visiting the town. Though they should not have hit people or they hit the wrong persons. The police who hit the band members even said after seeing Akhu's moustache and beard ; 'look at you with those long hairs and moustache, what good have you done for this land?'

Imphal Talkies was formed in 2008 by Akhu Chingangbam with Sachin Angom and Riki Chingangbam. The band released its debut album Tiddim Road in 2009. The band releases its music under its own record label Oomorock Records. Raju Athokpam, a software engineer, joined the band in 2009 March. The band dedicated a song “Eche” in 2010 to Irom Sharmila, a lady who has been on hunger strike since Novemeber 2000 as an act protest demanding the repeal of the draconian act, Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1958. The Imphal Music Project was concieved by Akhu to create a platform among artists from Indian sub continent. And the project has released two songs. The band is currently working on the second album "When the Home is Burning", plan to release in October 2012
