Today we are back with yet another South American minimal artist. Stefano Estremadoyro, co-owner of the Peruvian label Sendero. The 23-year-old talent made a quality set filled with deep hypnotic vibes. Because of his intereest in the evolution of music, Stefano has created his sound by experimenting with innovative music patterns. As a result he released tracks under his artist name and with his project together with Saav, called Noayaka. As well as with his label, which has now 11 releases and all worth checking!  

Stefano’s 50 minute journey is filled with deep tunes, which perfectly demonstrates the real Peruvian sound. Rhytmic drums, penetrating basslines, creepy sounds and deep synths. Press the play button and get hypnotized by the vibe he gives you from the beginning till the end. Get lost!

We continue our podcast series with a 1.5-hour mix hosted by @sarriauno from Lima, Peru. Sarria is a truly talented producer (and deejay) with a unique sound, which has evolved in the last few years. The Peruvian artist is known for his dark minimal, including deep basslines and energetic drums. He illustrates this on Sendero, as well as on his own Bandcamp page, where he just released a new track after a while called ‘Ntrn’. The full discography on his page is really worth listening.  

This set contains a projection of his characterized taste. A perfect match to our series. His trip is focussed on deep cosmic backgrounds, hypnotic accents, organic textures, minimalistic drums and continuously vibrating basslines. Enjoy our new podcast!

[Short biography]
Luminescu is an up-and-coming minimal DJ and producer based in Montreal. The origin of his moniker comes from the Latin root of his surname—meaning “Light”—with the characteristic Romanian suffix as a tribute to their illustrious writers and more recent rominimal wave. He shared line-ups with great inspirations like Alci, John Dimas, Praslea and Pheek, only to name a few. He recently signed two EPs on Psicodelica and Minimadelic Records, a single on Ambrosía Records and he’s now focusing on a psychoacoustics concept album.

A few words from Luminescu:

I was once asked to record a set as if it were my last on Earth. Without the claim to be the best—I imagined a selection full of love, good-natured, with knowing smiles and cries of joy. I imagined a setting where a few friends are dancing in the sand, under the shining sun, with a massive sound system and an unprecedented bonding and energy.
The set was crafted around tonal similarities and key to ensure an ever-ending story and a seamless narrative. Rominimal joints succeed one another with common characteristics: driving bass and rolling percussions, while the mood oscillates in between bouncing sunny tracks and progressive stellar atmospheres. Around half of the set, a vocal perfectly sums up the universal message I wanted to share: “All right y’all. And, by the way, you hear this morning that somebody loves you, somebody believes in you, and somebody needs you. And, somebody knows that you can do it, I know you can do it!”
The second half is marked by a short dub slowdown—a remix I made for my buddy Jack George (on Fratii.ro)—followed by a succession of powerful breaks and energetic tech tracks, including a tribute to the old school with an Underworld edit. The journey ends with a dreamy break beat piece, allowing for a smooth return to earth.
In the end, I imagined people dancing round in a circle while holding hands and sincerely hope you will feel the same!
