It is hard to find a good combination of words to describe the quality of this Earthbound Collection compiled by Salvo Migliorini on Tibetania Records. In a few words, our premieres of Jangal by Jose Solano and Jack Essek's remix of Minaya by Piccaya are at least as atmospheric and heartwarming as you expect them to be.

In a world where musical genres have seemingly disappeared behind EDM’s obvious rise to prominence, we bring you the second installation of Yellow Claw’s Amsterdam Trap Music series. Amsterdam Trap Music Vol. 2, Yellow Claw’s new EP out on Mad Decent July 22nd, allows the Dutch trio to explore fresh audio terrain as they combine their monstrous trap bangers with influences from all around the music scene. The last few months have been dark. I've struggled with a sense of myself, and whether it's ok to authentically be me.  Can I be who I am, or is a suppressed version the only one that's palatable?

As I struggled with this, a beautiful member of my community's time with us ended.  The bravery and serenity with which she handled this was an inspiration, and helped pull me towards the dawn.

When it became clear that she would not be returning from the hospital, I finalized this set to get it to her.  It remains as a celebration of our finite time on this planet.

Music so viscerally exists, and yet is completely intangible.  We can't touch music, it can only be felt. It exists in pure presence during the moment it's played. A human soul shares this property.  It plays through our bodies in the now, leaving it's essence behind. 

It's my hope that this music acts as a lantern, bringing those back to the present while they tread through their own dark night of the soul.

Sound Shapes is a musical identity born in Milan, derived from the perfect and complementary fusion of the two founders, Simone Nai and Cristian Blaj, with Thai and Romanian roots.

In 2016 they started collaborating and creating their own sound. forged on sharp deep beats and driving bass lines flavored with organic and spiritual spices, mixing electronic sounds and ancestral rhythms.

Currently Resident DJs at VOLT CLUB (Milano), they have been spinning around many Festivals and Clubs in Berlin, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Antwerp, Rome, Bruxelles, Goteburg, Tallin, Goa, Tulum and more.
