Adam Pits is back with his second album on Leeds based On Rotation ‘Synthetic Serenity’ represents the next evolutionary step of Adam’s sound design and direction. In stark contrast to his first album, ‘A Recurring Nature’, this new release moves out of the forest and into the digital landscape, capturing the sound of a future world over 8 varied tracks. 

Adam Pits talks about the inspiration behind the new album:

“It’s hard to put into words how much of an impact 2022 had on my life. I could talk for hours about the highs and lows, the journeys, both inside and out of my body. Or I could just make an album. 

Having delved into the deeper reaches of techno and ambient, I wanted to show my appreciation for these genres on the record. Atmosphere, clarity and warmth became the pillars of my new sonic exploration, with stress falling on my signature ‘journeying’ style. The album describes the idea of being at peace with machines and being open to the idea that in the future we will find ourselves more and more involved with one another. 

‘Synthetic Serenity’ is a product of a big energy release. It’s a testament to my acceptance of change in life and I believe it’s a true sign of my sonic evolution”

'The return of Manchester starlet Loz Goddard to Oath is a highly anticipated one as his latest jaunt serves up a fresh trio of cuts that breathe a clubbier edge to his sound, but still inhibit the eclectic colour that his productions are renowned for. The beauty of this EP is that the tracks are the kind that could be a vibrant force on festival dance-floors, but would also be highly pleasurable enzymes for the ears in the comforts of your home. The musicality and taste for sensual melodies is something that Loz completely resonates into his productions and now his sound is even more finely tuned for the clubs we'll hopefully be hearing a lot more of his elegant sounds on the big systems. 

The sequel to Goddard's debut LP is titled 'Are We Ever Leaving Here?' and is scaled down from his full bodied debut to produce three stunning original cuts. Re-enforcing the package to max there's also remixes from Casa Voyager boss OCB and Bristolian sorcerer Boulderhead to firmly accentuate the club intentions of this EP.......... (Continued)

Oslo's deep house hero Henrik Villard returns with a new EP ‘Going Down’ on Snick Snack Music.

Henrik Villard's local scene success has rather burgeoned in recent years, with his name now making a mark on the international stage. His music has come on labels like Beatservice and Mhost Likely and blends classic and golden-age sounds with new school production techniques, lo-fi samples and groovy bass that carries listeners to the stars.

Opener 'Birdcall' does just that with its pulsing synth lines spraying about over surging house drums that are sure to lift the dance floor off its feet. Rich pads flesh out the details and make this one as emotive as it is dynamic. 'Going Down' brings plenty of psychedelic colour as sublime synth sequences rain down over the crisp, broken drum patterns. It's got a future disco feel that is impossible not to love. 'Redlight' is more loose and playful as the synths dance about with real soul and the prickly drums undulate to perfection. It's a perfect fusion of astral colour and human warmth that brings the dance floor together and closes the release in style.

Villard once again combines genuine musicality with a real understanding of dance floor grooves on this fresh new EP.
