Phenom is back with his second earth-shattering Dubstep EP on Impossible Records! "The Magnitude" EP walks the fault line between 2010 dubstep vibrations and the progression of current bass music trends. Expertly colliding classic melodic components with Hip-Hop, Rock, and filthy modern bass sounds Phenom takes us on a journey to the epicenter of his creative take on dubstep as a genre today. 

Each Phenom track has an ideological seed at its core that influences not only the creative process but the narrative of the EP as well. “The Magnitude” EP aims to take you on a journey through four dimensions with each song transporting you further and further into a world of ground shaking sounds. Your journey starts in the deep dark bowels of the underworld where a devastating Earthquake erupts. I wrote the music to 'Dainichi' a year ago and have rewritten it no less than 10 times. Then kind of recently it all just came together perfectly. This song is so special to me because it represents a mixing of styles and cultures that's a central part of who I am and how I make music. 

'Dainichi' is the zen Buddhist embodiment of emptiness. Essentially it’s the idea that everything is void of meaning or value. All things are impermanent and in a state of constant flux. In a way, it teaches us to be optimists because problems and pain are both only temporary.

The perfect beginning of the newest IMMINENT story. 
The opening track on the Florescence compilation tenderly embraces listeners with a soft piano intro, signifying the beginning of evening time in the digital city of our sonic aesthetics. In a moment, Moonlight starts to project a beam of bright white light with the track immediate unfolding. 
The viscous dynamics of Moonlight is led by tangible bass-line and pulsating percussion, reminding of the medusa underwater movement. Vocal samples and atmospheric synth pads, appearing and dissipating like momentary echoes, provide listeners with an eclectic mix of nostalgia and a sense of new discoveries. Less intense ambient sequences without percussion straighten sonic variety of the piece, creating a visual image of a fade out screen before the next scene of our music story called Florescence is introduced. 
Interestingly, the possibly final text supplement for our fundamental Florescence compilation release is a review on the opening track by a producer named Azaleh, his commentary and, most importantly, an upcoming exclusive interview with the artist himself. Nevertheless, it’s a great opportunity to rediscover this sonic gift that is the compilation release. More art miracles are coming your way from the IMMINENT collective. 

Azalehs commentary on the track:

Moonlight is a really important track to me. Most of it's melodic work was laying around for a long time and I didn't know how to finish it. One day, on a train ride through Sweden I started writing what became the outro of the track later. I didn't mean to combine it with the rest of the track at first, but when I had the idea it made so much sense and sounded great to me too.
Listening to it wakes so many memories, it reminds me of the places I've been to and the people I met.
I hope that it makes you feel alike and takes you on a journey too.
