The release kicks off with the undeniable sounds of “Hustle & bustle,” which blends organic synth stabs, light-snapping drums, and a warm sub bassline.  “A Game of Two Halves,” takes on a much heavier vibe, as the song features shuffling drums, screaming sub mid basslines, and a sub bassline that is layered beautifully with a stand up bass sample. Northampton, UK, producer Wyman makes his long awaited return to Smooth N Groove with his Detractor LP. One year in the making and two years since his last release 'Money of Fools' which received solid support from DnB's heavy hitters! We can honestly say it has been well worth the wait as Wyman provides us with straight up vibes that showcase his signature production style throughout.

Featuring ten divers cuts that won't disappoint! Setting the scene and going straight in with the opening track 'Betari Box' featuring deep bass textures and catchy vocals. 'Diamond Sutra' follows suit with a slightly darker tone and a floor shredding, tearing bass line. Fast forward through the LP and Wyman switches things up with the title track 'Detractor' featuring delicious piano vibes, dreamy strings and lavish drum patterns. Finishing out the LP with 'Cyane' which has the listener immersed between soulful depths, jazz samples and a killer bouncy bass drop! Simply put, this is Wyman's best work to date and arguably one of the best releases on the imprint.

Dizzy Gee has been djing since 1998. He launched Kriterion Recordings in 2018 with partner, Sy High. Kriterion is a digital, sister label of Criterion Records. Kriterion Recordings focuses on releasing soulful tunes.

Gee's musical influences include, Hip Hop, Soul, UK Garage, Jungle, Oldskool, Drum & Bass and anything that has magic weaved into the production.  Darren Griffin aka Kool Cut Dee (KCD) got Dizzy into music when things were not so good in his younger years. He is still one of HIS best friends and confidants to this day. If you have not heard his mixes yet you ain’t heard how it should be done! Look him up, you won’t be disappointed!

Dizzy Gee-Exclusive Mix-The Everyday Junglist Podcast-Episode 350

Impression is a DJ and producer currently residing in Saint Augustine, Florida. In the last few years, since the pandemic, he has truly found his sound within the realm of smooth, vibey, rhythmic Drum & Bass. He recently has released tunes on several prominent labels such as FX909, Soul Deep Recordings, Influenza Media, Soul Trader, Liquid Drops, Theoryon Records and Rolled Up Records and has forthcoming tunes on the label Fokuz. On top of that he has recently contributed music to the charity Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism presents: 'USA vs. U.K. A friendly Exhibition', to raise awareness for children and families coping with Autism as well as Beats In Mind: 'Headsbass' a charity raising awareness for mental illness. 
Growing up in South Florida in the peak of the rave wave of the 90's he found himself inspired by this movement and became co-founder of the Y.O.U. crew. He established several residencies over the years and shared the stage with the biggest and greatest names in Drum & Bass. In 2008 he partnered and launched the label 'Urban Chemistry' under the name 'Fusion' and released tracks with DnB greats like Stunna, Submorphics, Command Strange and Mutt just to name a few.
Around this time Impression also started a weekly show on Bassdrive.com called 'Lab Sessions' which has been running deep for almost 15 years. With roots in the culture that span from Florida to all parts of the globe he has truly curated his sound and much like his production, his DJ sets and mixes are sure to deliver deep soulful vibes with funky progression and smooth, intricate blends. A crowd pleaser every time.
