Welcome to the second edition of Era Specific Noise! This release sees the debut of three talented new artists to the label - there’s nothing better than a good VA. With an audible sonic influence and shared appreciation for the originality and love poured into old-school techno, ESPN002 has something for every drum machine lover out there. 

We kick things off with TOECRUNCHER's track "Turnstyle", the first of two driving pieces of dancefloor-friendly techno that make up the A side. A classic 16th note bassline, strong percussion, and just the right amount of ear candy and ephemeral pads - this work practically mixes itself into your DJ set. The next output by label head Richardson “Situational Awareness” builds off this style and adds a growling, modulated synthline, a uniqueness which ensures its memorability and slot in your bag.  

The clarity in production of B1 “Occhio per occhio” by Alfa Cornae is hard to put into words. There’s a mountain of percussion in this hardgroove-inspired piece and yet, everything seems to have its own place - and those squelchy breakdowns don’t hurt either. Rounding off the release is “Kintsugi” - a slamming, industrial yet ethereal piece by Andrea Crestani. We personally enjoy a release that tells a story, and this track has all the hallmarks and melancholy of an EP closer.

With his first full techno album entitled, "Bourbon",  ANFS returns to the label in full form. Delivering a cohesive, introspective piece of work shaped by tight sound design and an intuitive sense of flow. The music is minimal yet expressive, exploring a detailed palette of textures, subtle groove manipulations and low end pressure that sits gently beneath the surface.

Each track stands on its own but also connects to a broader sonic arc - one that favors clarity over clutter and focus over force. The arrangements evolve with patience, revealing layers of harmonic, almost current-like, warmth, rhythmic tension and crisp tonal movement.  This is techno that feels alive: shifting, breathing and built with intent.

Schwefelgelb show their diversity in an impressive manner. A vibrant record with a very positive aura, which makes you want to dance with a smile. Minimalistic and clearly arranged, showing each element’s full potential. Unfolding dance music’s power with no distraction. 
„Ay“ is all about its irresistible groove, which is smooth but yet punchy. A compelling opener which reminds Leftfield House. 
“Randseiter” is an intriguing Techno track balancing stomping EBM rhythm and playful syncopic melody patterns.
With “Sie Lacht” we turn to a cheerful and uplifting combination of subtle Jungle rhythms, prominent bass and quirky lead, undoubtedly referencing UK Bass music. 
If you’re out for some rumble you’ll find it in JANEIN’s remix of “Ay”. Despite its Industrial darkness it’s not too shy to implement melodic parts. A haunting mix of pumping kick and funky stab sequences.
There isn’t really a box for Danny Daze’s remix of “Sie Lacht”. This digital bonus track is full of creative surprises.

@morphamusic is a DJ and producer from Rostov-on-Don. Currently based in Moscow, he is a resident and active participant of the @subspace-podcast promo team. He has released music on labels such as @crescent-london London (UK), Sequences Temporales (Mexico), @profundocollective (Netherlands), @crudeberlin Berlin (Germany) and others. He also made a notable release, Memoirs, for the well-known Swedish hypnotic techno platform @hypnus. He is a co-founder of the Moscow label "Ursula." He regularly performs in clubs in both capitals, including Arma, RNDM, and the St. Petersburg venue Blank, among many others. He is also a frequent guest at festivals like Gamma, Systo, and others.

This mix weaves hypnotic tekno, tribal rhythms, and rolling psy textures into a deep, spiraling journey – percussive and fluid, with an entrancing flow that pulls you inward.

Under My Feet. unveils the first glimpse into Bleeding In Colour, the forthcoming release from London-based duo Torn Relics. “Mask Of Monarchy” is a commanding introduction to the record — a potent fusion of experimental noise, industrial techno, and folklore-fuelled narrative. True to Torn Relics' distinct voice, the track explores a dystopian ritualism through a rich and confrontational sonic lens. Drawing from ancient textures and future rhythms, “Mask Of Monarchy” sets the tone for a release that promises both chaos and catharsis.

Josef Gaard - Blossoms Of Iron [DIS002 | Premiere]

MPVLSIV is the multi-textured techno project of Melina, based in Athens, Greece. Emerging from introspective quarantine explorations, the project is deeply influenced by the psychedelic layers of reality. Drawing on both physical and mental states as creative fuel, IMPVLSIV channels blissful, primal energy to the dancefloor through tribal, raw, and deep elements.

Melina has performed at venues such as Tresor Berlin, Astron, Vondelbunker (Amsterdam), Six Dogs, Temple Athens, The Host SKG, Romantso, and B-Side. In 2023, she debuted with a track on The Pact VA, alongside Crystal Geometry, DΛS, and Bestial Mouths. That same year marked the release of her first EP, ATASTHALIES, on Public Sex Regime (Amsterdam), followed in 2025 by her second EP, Nothing Is Everything, With a Twist.

Beyond production, Melina is also a Cannibal Radio producer and hosts her own weekly DJ night every Wednesday at B-Side, cultivating "Street Rituals".
