Especially with factors like 'someone to count on', 'generousity', 'healthy life expectancy' and the 'freedom to make life choices' being used as measures to determine our inner joy.
Reflecting this light-hearted island atmosphere is Machel Montano's first official release for the Carnival 2014 season.
HMA (Happiest Man Alive), reminds us that the ultimate success lies inside our souls and the only path to that bliss is to simply forget the worries around us and live the life you are blessed with, an art perfected by Trinbagonians.

Mass Attack - Ricky T 

The wait for Saint Lucia Carnival Power Soca 2013 has ended with “Mass Attack” from Ricky T. A winner of multiple Soca crowns including 3 Power Soca and 5 Road March titles- Ricky T is leading the charge on this Rampage Riddim from Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic. “Mass Attack” is written by Ricky Joseph and Marley James; produced by Courtney "Curty" Louis and Satish Mathurin. This one is for the ladies, a call to soca arms so to speak. It comes with easy to follow instructions and a power beat to guide that process along. It also reminds the ladies not to let anyone take them away from the right to fete during Carnival and if anyone tries they need to “kick down the front door.” The rhymes, the lyrical style is quintessentially Ricky T with his, “My girl you giving me heart attack/I will give you the mass attack.” This ode to the Saint Lucian ladies, “his babies” is guaranteed to soothe the power soca beast that hungers in all of us.


Merry Go Round - Mongstar and Ambi

Ladies, the object of “Merry Go Round” is to have you “whining in a circle/make that bumper tick tock from left to right in a circle.” Your posterior, you see must operate like a propeller. So say Mongstar and Ambi on “Merry Go Round” from the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Rampage Riddim. It is written by Ricky Joseph, Marley James and Ambroise Joseph and produced by Courtney “Curty” Louis and Satish Mathurin. The Riddim allows for the rapid word play that should translate into quick action per instructions. You, ladies are called upon to “give waist” in a way that leads to “everybody giving her space/the woman whining like propeller.” You dip, you spin, you rotate, all “like a merry go round” whether you are in a fete, club or on the road for Last Lap.


Soca Platinum Style - Platinum George

It is fast, furious and designed to get you into a soca frenzy. While other artistes may have a difficult time keeping up with a Riddim worthy to be called Rampage, such is not the case for Platinum George who rides it like an expert bull rider showing the animal, in this case a beat, who is boss of the ring. So adept is he, his song is called “Soca Platinum Style.” In it, the man known to make his mouth contort like your waist is called upon to do, says “Move/Move/Move” in “Soca Platinum Style” What is that you ask? It is “jumping up mad/we getting on bad/I want to see rag, rag, rag/we breaking down fete/everybody wet.” Written by George St Croix and Marley James, “Platinum Style” is featured on the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Rampage Riddim that is produced by Courtney “Curty” Louis and Satish Mathurin.

YO BWEY  - Gozilay

With every inhaled breath, palpable tension swarms through the barely restrained bodies of restless masqueraders.

One can feel the energy of multiple island summer festivals throbbing in the air, and the stirring of riotous feet awaiting that particular fuel needed to propel them across the black carpets of the Caribbean.

Precision Productions has listened attentively and using all of these emotions has conjured one rhythmic inoculation that is sure to relieve the entire region.

This cure comes in the declared release of the “Emergency Riddim”.

As the musical alarms sound off, a masterful team of artists is called in and placed on siren duty, each with a specific mission in mind.

In charge of sharing tactical information is St. Lucia’s current Groovy King, Teddyson ‘TJ’ John, who alongside his crafty writing partner, Telvin John, hooks all with “Backa”, which is Lucian slang for ‘Your Crew’ and is one part must-have fete list, one part declaration of no-safe-gyration zone, and one part urgent road instruction.
Meanwhile Fya Empress, the first ever triple Monarch title holder in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, shows off her skill as she whips feters into a fevered state, with “We Ready”, which was written by the dynamic duo of Akeem ‘Preedy’ Chance and Stephanas ‘Steffy’ Ramgattie of WiiMAD fame.
Majesty continues to reign as the Caribbean Queen of Bacchanal, Destra, joins the rumble intent on leaving nothing behind but dust in the frenetic “Mash Up” that was authored by Patrick ‘Mista Vybe’ Gordon.
Bacchanal rules in the middle of all this action as St Lucia's 2010 Power Soca Monarch and Road March King, DJ HP, delivers an energetic illustration of the scenario painted by Mista Vybe who does double writing duty in this riddim, showing off his witty side, this time, in the mauvaise langue tummy-tickler “Maddd Again”.
