It seems that change is the only constant. The world may appear motionless, but every moment it disintegrates and reassembles itself. However, there is a place where the fundamental law of the universe bends.

"Ничего нигде не происходит" (Nothing Happens Anywhere) is the second album by Vadim Ronin, a DJ, musician, and member of the Ryabina collective.

Born in Yekaterinburg, Vadim began recording music in the early 2000s, experimenting with Fruity Loops and RB-338. Later, he performed in the iconic clubs of that era: PV, Kuryashchaya Sobaka, and others. In the mid-2000s, he became fascinated with Russian electronic music, particularly its ambient and IDM sound. The echoes of those recordings can still be heard in his music today.

The album’s sound seems suspended in a single state. As if the entire body and mind compress into a single point, from which barely perceptible movements begin to emerge—gravitations, oscillations, subtle stirrings. The sound of planets in motion or the life of the tiniest particles? Who knows...

The recordings were created for a performance at the Tapehood festival in 2023, using an Octatrack, Ableton, and custom Max For Live patches.
