We’ve known each other since nursery and have been mixing together for years but we only started jump about a year and a half ago. The original mission statement for jump was for it to be strictly 4x4 only, which we now take a much looser approach to, but there’s a definite emphasis on house or house adjacent genres in our sets. In terms of a typical jump set you’ll probably hear deep house, progressive house, chuggers, tech house, hard house and maybe a sprinkle of garage.

What sparked your interest in digging/collecting?

Hearing dj artists playing beautiful to wonked out tunes at events always made me imagine having me own collection to play one day n these days that is very slowly becoming a collection id love to play out 

Where do you find your music?

Any label/artist/collective recommendations for someone to start digging?

Ezra collective, ariwo biig up so much energy:) always going to big up Shackleton (woe the septic heart label:)  really depends on what you like.

Is there anyone that you take inspiration from? If so who and why?

Everyone that steps into record shops/fairs n digs, we all have different feels doing this for sure. for me I've found it a overwhelming experience most of the times loads of records, names: so go with some time to spend select a few give them a listen if that's accessible, talk to people nothing like getting into a conversation about music:))Biiig up yourselves xx

My parents were both vinyl djs when they were my age so I grew up around trance and techno. And then I really started to shape my own music tastes over long commutes to high school.

Record fairs, bandcamp and trawling through discogs.

NTS is the spot for mixes/radio shows across the whole musical spectrum. Also worth following distributors of records you like.. low company, rubadub, industrial coast, redeye. 

Is there anyone that you take inspiration from? If so who and why?

Boss level djs like object blu, mi-el, josey rebelle and John t gast who take risk and genre + bpm hop freely

The Kurkkio Festival is a yearly gathering way up north in Swedish Lappland. Arranged in true DIY spirit with stages in a barn and an old storage building used for drying birch. It gathers the best DJs from Sweden and abroad for a weekend every summer. The recording is from the opening set of the festival on a beautiful afternoon.
