Emerging electronic artist OJ is set to captivate listeners by releasing her highly anticipated EP, Portal Access Points. This otherworldly collection pushes the boundaries of electronic music incorporating percussive rhythms & an ethereal universe through its unique, genre-bending approach. Within the Portal Access Points EP, artists IN2STELLAR, GoodMostlyBad and Maude Vôs collaborate with OJ’s originals to present their unique interpretations.
OJ’s masterful productions weave elements from various genres, creating a soundscape that is both mesmerizing and transcendent. Each track serves as a portal, guiding listeners through a labyrinth of underground high energy rave influences and otherworldly sound textures.
Portal Access Points opens with “Forest Spirits,” which sets the stage with its pulsating beats and hypnotic rhythms. The track immerses listeners in an ethereal soundscape, blending rhythmic precision with a utopian atmosphere.The second track, “11am in Paris,” energizes the EP while paying homage to OJ’s time living in Paris. The driving breakbeats, pulsating synths and heavy bassline solidify this track as a late night warehouse selection. “Unknown Traveler,” carries the body of work into a deeper, driving space, balancing powerful rhythms with dynamic moments.
The dynamic duo IN2STELLAR, take a vitalizing approach with their progressive trance remix of 11am in Paris showcasing a bouncy bass, sweeping & spacey synths with dubby vocals. GoodMostlyBad brings her iconic ghettotech flavor to Forest Spirits churning out a rump ready club chopper. Delusional founder Maude Vôs, brings their signature sound design to Unknown Traveller; drawing from dubstep, idm and ambient soundscapes, Maude fabricates a spacey 40hz roller.
