Exalted by hissing leads and arpeggiated basses, Ulla Records writes off walls between the 80s and modern era. The first release, “In Motion”, showcases the variety of genre that the label aims to put forward.

Youngster Austher opens up the project with a slow italo-disco cut, followed by Malouane, delivering an electro-oriental-inspired chimera, and Sporting Club with a piece of italo-body music, before Naranja and LDM wrap it up with a frantic homage to the rave and acid era.

The story of this EP dates back to 2021, when we—the whole BMP crew—were attending our annual family gathering at the now-defunct Sarcus festival (R.I.P).

On a late Saturday afternoon, we all gathered under the same tent to watch one of our dear friends perform live. You guessed it: this friend is https://soundcloud.com/malouane. From the first track of the live set, we in the audience exchanged astonished looks. We knew he had been working hard on this live set for months but didn't know anything about it. As the live set unfolded, we kept traveling mentally in a perpetual state of amazement.
By the end of the set, we all had the same idea: to congratulate Malouane and ask for the tracks so we could release an EP that would capture the essence of this live set, allowing us to relive that very special moment.

After a long wait, we are now more than happy to share some selected tracks from the set with you, hoping you will feel the same excitement we felt at the time.
As a cherry on top, besides having four tracks from Malouane, we asked our dear friend https://soundcloud.com/gabrielbelabbas —from Positive Future—to craft an additional remix, giving this EP a deep house edge.

For the fourth Outplay vinyl release we welcome Laurence Guy to the family and have Brame & Hamo on remix duties. It’s paired with two originals by Outplay's own Junktion and Daniël Leseman.
Laurence delivers a wonderful synth driven opener with “Strings Attached”. While Junktion brings his familiar grooves with the jazzy “Breakfast at Midnight”, Brame & Hamo flip it into a dubby stomper to heat up the floors. Daniël Leseman gets to round up the EP with his warm and melodic “On My Mind”.

Second round for french In Any Case imprint, still keeping it chopped and dusty, celebrating the sound of the almighty Rhodes electric piano through a 5 tracker wax slab. Opening this release and premiered here is the fashionable parisian Tell with a cool House cut featuring some lush Rhodes samples, some Hip Hop style vocals and a freaking strong beat pulsating through the whole thing. Tailor-made for keeping the dancefloor tight and packed !

PREMIERE : Tell - Life is Rhythm (Life is Round) [In Any Case Records]

It was time for his eldest son to leave the nest. As he looked out upon the valley which lay below he asked God kindly to protect and watch over Amako. He knew that his child must go out and make his way in the world, discover his manhood and be free. Somehow the notion of him roaming between the trees cast a terrible fear across his heart. His son had never left his sight before let alone ventured upon a quest as brave and noble as this. The sky opened and the rain began to pour as he watched his shadow dissappear down the side of the mountain. 

In Any Case Records return with another jam packed compilation to see out the year in style. The second release features an array of talent in all shapes and sizes.

PREMIERE: G2S - Amako [In Any Case]

French label @InAnyCaseRecords scorched on to the scene a few months ago with a quickly sold out four track V/A release. With their sophomore EP on the horizon, we've got the exclusive premiere of the B2 from the record.

@ManuelNie's "Brasilholzschlaeger", uses an expertly maneuvered Rhodes sound that pulses along over a splendid bassline and some crackling, boom-bap injected drums. A clever little rap sample adds some extra flavor to the arrangement as well. All in all, it's a mean deep house track built on a truly excellent sample chop and filter work. Surprisingly, the cut is only Manuel's second production credit; the other being a similarly moody heater on Big Bait's 7 year anniversary compilation, Gold. Hopefully we'll see more exquisite stuff from the Munich man in the near future.

Second round for french "In Any Case" imprint, still keeping it chopped and dusty, celebrating the sound of the almighty Rhodes electric piano through this 5 tracker wax slab. 
Opening this release is the fashionable parisian Tell with a cool house cut featuring some lush sample and a driving beat. Following is the label co-founder G2S' track "Amako" blending a strong backbeat with a groovy bass drums and chopped rhodes sample closing A side with a neat library style feeling. We've then got Malouane (co-founder too) opening the flip with a trippy tune including melty percussions on top of a jungly bassline. Succeeding, Manuel Nie from Germany with a Hip Hop- House crossover banging drums cutting through perfect rhodes samples. Finally, Ibn Sabaa is closing the V/A with a mean head-nodding modern Hip Hop groove that will doubtlessly wreck your neck.

One year after its debut release, In Any Case is back with its third record, delivering, as planned, a large organic
and groovy sound-scape.
You'll trip on one of the newcomer to the imprint, Kaffe Crème, teaming up with co-founder G2S on an hybrid track. This one won't disappoint you with its funky bassline, jazzy and lush Rhodes layers, horn ensemble and lastly, mellow pads and sax solo ; everything cleverly arranged on

PREMIERE : Kaffe Crème & G2S - What You Doin [In Any Case Records]

French dusty house maestro G2S is back on the scene after his never-getting-old EP 'Check Dat Hiss' and a couple of classy collaborations on his own imprint In Any Case Records last year. But, we've got some sad news to share with you - speaking to Theo recently, he admitted that 'Bounce' may be his last track of this kind. Whilst his passions still very much lie with funky, head-nodding vibes, he's taking a bit of time to drift away from his usual house beats to focus on something a little bit different. Having immersed himself in mainly Jazz-Funk and Fusion records of late, I'm sure whatever that something is, it'll be special.

If this is to be his last track with his trademark house feel, then highly regarded French label S3A is surely the ideal home for it. G2S has perfected the art of sampling and this one, part of a 4 track offering alongside Felipe Gordon, Sweely and S3A himself, makes no exceptions. A heavy kick is spread thick with Rhodes, sprinkled with sax and punctuated by a mean, bouncing bass line. A real classy production.  

We are as excited by what could come next from Theo as we are sad that this may be the last we hear of his dulcet, dusty tones. Watch this space!
