For the 121st entry in the Honcho Podcast Series we welcome, @tabasheer!  'Traversing many musical paths between tender dreamscapes, wayward polyrhythms, buoyant percussion, and weirdo transmutations' is an apt description for this beautiful 3 hour mix.  This set was recorded in July, Tabasheer played a perfect opening set, providing the perfect introduction for the rest of the night.

Bristol-based producer, DJ and musician @iambruce, or Larry, is the first guest to send selections up to space to teach aliens about life on this planet. 

Larry is a musician who constantly explores and tests the boundaries of what is possible with sound, most recently exploring using shimmering vocals on his recent @timedance project.

Touching on the soundscapes of his breakthrough @hessleaudio production from as far back as 2014, and recent singing production, Larry sends tracks into the cosmos from school days and university afterparty anthems that have soundtracked his life. We get into discovering an ear for sound, the concept of authenticity, how music soothes cruelty and the power of vocal expression alongside playing records.

A few months ago I had the very real pleasure to play a morning set for Chiilits 2023. Been meaning to post this for a while, but you know, life and all that. I was sitting listening to it with my sister and she was like, what am I waiting for? Anyway, this leans pretty dark for a morning set, as there are tendrils from the night before, following up dear friends with darker sets. Just where my headspace was at. It was incredibly special to spend that weekend with so many generous hearts and ears. Love to my camp crew, new friends, and especially to the Chillits committee for the opportunity. <3
