Warming, the introspective division of Warning, was launched by resident Mars Leder as an “off the (Rave) track” mix series in 2019. Since then the aim has been to provide warm vibes in a cold world to help us unwind in hectic times. We’re now expanding the sub-project and present to you WARM01, the first Ambient music release on Warning. With seven mindfully selected tracks from Areliz Ramos, Yhdessa, Caldera, Premis, Lewi Boome, Vertical67, and Warning resident Philipp Otterbach with his new project KYN, a collaboration with Sebastian Eubel. The compilation aims to reflect the versatility of the genre, from mellow textures and floating voices to fractal patterns and rapturous basslines. Don’t expect any ordinary elevator music or beach cafe vibes - this one will be chill, but it’s still a Warning.

The fourth episode of the Warming season comes with a cinematic and immersive journey created by the Berlin-based Ukrainian artist, Helleroid. Continuously experimenting with her own productions, friends, and like-minded heads, she invites you to dive into the depth of sound, exploring spaces and changing states of mind. Helleroid is also known for her releases and mixes as Oana Oama and as part of Pitch Patrol, BVVVDMO, and Jasmine Liqueur.

For the tenth edition of the Warning 12” series - Secretsundaze, now led by James Priestley, releasing his first work under the moniker as a solo venture and marking a new sonic direction for the project. On WAR1210 he delivers two original cuts residing on the A Side, with remixes on the flip.

The EP opens with ‘Doesn’t This Sun Feel Great’, a rising, percussive track that utilises disparate samples and twisted vocal manipulation for a fast paced, dancefloor orientated roller. Progressive in outlook, organic in nature, the track steadily builds throughout, culminating in a deserving, euphoric release. ‘The Real Sun’ takes the sensibilities of the opening track and leans on its raw, rolling percussive energy, keeping things highly functional and grooving.

The B side commences with Drua’s version of ‘Doesn’t This Sun Feel Great’. Drawing for a sonic palette quickly becoming synonymous with him, the remix twists and turns in a mesh of psychedelic progressive and hard hitting tech house. To wrap up proceedings Giraffi Dog delivers his captivating ‘700 Lakeside remix’ of ‘The Real Sun’, pushing boundaries with an inventive score that transforms the original track's energy.

Following the development of the project to a solo venture of co-founder James Priestley, Secretsundaze marks another key milestone in 2024 with the release of the first original material by the artist under the Secretsundaze moniker in over 4 years.

Coming out on Berlin institution WARNING, the  WAR1210 EP exhibits the sonic development of Secretsundaze as a producer and DJ. Following the gentle yet adventurous spirit of WARM01, we continue our sonic journey with WARM02, the second installment in Warning’s ambient-leaning sub-project Warming. Curated with care and curiosity, the compilation dives deeper into the spectrum of ambient music and other warm sounds of electronic music.

This time we welcome six distinct voices to the fold: Saphileaum, not even noticed, Klex, sleepdial, Ghadimi, and Toxido Mask. Each artist brings a unique take on atmosphere, rhythm, and introspection— serving distant melodies, celestial pads and submerged drones.

SPEEDRUN marks the completion of the first decade of my foray into music production. This piece of music is a result of the ten summers I spent locked up in my room polishing my craft and going hard against the grain. The maximalist warp-drive borrows elements from a plethora of genres like future bass, hyperpop, glitch, jazz and jersey club and is laced with my signature elements and techniques. Every sound you are hearing was either synthesized or recorded by me over the years. 

First world dreams can come true in the third world.
