Time moves, and the boy grows. The father watches with pride and a bittersweet ache as his child learns, falls, and rises again. Each small moment, scraped knees, bedtime stories, teenage silences, becomes a mirror reflecting lessons the father never knew he needed. The song captures the sacred exchange between generations: how a father raises a son, only to realise he was the one being raised all along. It’s tender, humble, and deeply human, a portrait of love through the lens of time.

Kid Enigma and Ed Nine, two Chicago natives, collaborate on the ‘Provide’ single for Street Tracks, and turn in a couple of deluxe deep house groovers.

Both raised on a diet of NYC and Chicago house, Kid Enigma has gone on to release his productions on European labels such as Defected, Hot Creations and Robsoul Recordings, whilst Ed Nine’s tracks have found favour with US labels like King Street, Panhandle and Nite Grooves.

Lead track, ‘Provide’, contains many of the classic house music tropes that still make it the endearing genre it is; its vocal refrain is backed with a swinging drum pattern, filtered chord stabs and soaring strings for an uplifting foot shuffler.  Jazz influences are revealed on ‘Floss’, with breezy pads and shuffling beats escorting in a sumptuous bassline for a truly deep slice of house music.

Unique, esoteric electronica sounds are cued up on 9th House’s latest release for Street Tracks.  The versatile producer has already been making waves with a series of releases and remixes for labels such as 17 Steps, Shall Not Fade, Hottrax, We Are The Brave, and DJ Haus’ Hot Haus label, and on the ‘Catching A Whisper’ single, the hotly tipped artist fans his musical wings further.

An emotively charged tone is achieved on ‘Catching A Whisper’, as hushed vocals weave in and out of a rasping synth line and galactic beats.  Accompanying track, ‘Natural Consequence’, in contrast, is more reticent, as distorted and angular guitar slaps against soft pianos and soothing bells, as a scant break beat rolls in at the tracks crescendo.
