The first release in Vala series is pieced together by Kaspiann and Samuel van Dijk with his Multicast Dynamics and Mohlao aliases. Characterised by melancholic melodies and ethereal pads combined with hefty rolling bass, the EP is a diverse four tracker that seeks to take its listener on a trance-like voyage to those fleeting moments of euphoria. Originating from the north, Vala is a manifestation of the profound feelings of the gloomy but wistful polar nights.

Mary Yuzovskaya's vinyl-only, Berlin-via-Brooklyn Monday Off label continues to explore techno's shadowy depths; where the music's subtle dynamics unfurl in intensely cerebral and psychedelic ways. The rising Roman producer Hoedus, who's previously contributed to one of the Various Artist compilations, offers three exquisite new tracks on this latest edition to MOFF's catalogue.

The propulsion of opening track Frames rolls in like a summer's evening thunderstorm; fresh and unrelenting as its elements swirl around the listener, while ever-crescendoing in subdued intensity. Moving Up Slowly follows suit, but unlike its namesake, it dives straight into peak time energy with ravey drones that slowly evolve into an array of tripping tones that tunnel straight into the brain.
The following side begins with MOFF fave Spanish artist Orbe remixing Moving Up Slowly; its energy further increased tenfold as otherworldly sounds dance around the main motif with frenetic intensity. Gravity Zero closes out the EP by simmering away with body-centric rhythms and a heady afterglow that's reminiscent of an extended sunrise moment.

Our first premiere this month, comes from the affluent label DORIAN, with another brilliant compilation of some superb talents in the hypnotic scene. Here is la submission from label head @morenomariotti with a driving progressively hypnotic piece that dances on the spectrum of deep techno and melodic trance with its floating layers and whispering touches of persistently driving kicks and bass. A fantastic, release of some outstanding producers cutting way in the hypnotic scene today.

'Psychometrics Hidden Layers' is the fourth release from the Berlin- and Lisbon-based event series Art Bei Ton. This 7-track VA focuses on bringing diverse trippy forms of hypnotic sounds, from Ambient to Deep Techno.

Opening the VA, the talented Portuguese artist @maria-callapez invites the listener to experience her atmospheric Ambient universe. The Tokyo-based DJ and producer @ryogoyamamoritracks presents an immersive hypnotic techno track, transporting us back to some nostalgic moments.

Through her track ‘Dark Blue,’ @yuka welcomes the listener on a rhythmic and mesmerizing sonic journey. @hypnotic-black-magic releases her first track, showcasing her vision of a powerful hypnotic vibe, blending driving and trippy elements. The great German producer and DJ @mordiomusic offers us a piece, mixing adynamic drums and ethereal mood.

Wrapping up this release, the Indian artist @anejath embraces a more trancy and acidic sounds with his track 'Atlas Interface,' while the Lisbon-based producer @veigamusic creates a powerful dancefloor tune — a clean merge between deep and groovy techno.
