Anchored by the resampled chord and piano line, ‘Dust in Bloom’ the titular track from Billus’ debut album, layers intricate aural artifacts to gaseous hypnagogic effect. The hop-skip of the kick and bubbling low-end reveals a playful and plucky atmosphere which evokes learning to ride a bike again for the first time. One part liberating, one part unnerving, pensively poking until the laid-back break comes and helps to find balance. 

The album is slated for CD & Digital release on May 29th on Pollinate Records, run by label mate Dashiell. While the label is still young, the quality of their releases illustrates the maturity of institutions who are decades into proceedings. Billus’ previous release with Animalia, explored breaks, house and tech with aquatic undertones and a lifting meditative energy similar to Dust. Music like this takes time to sink in but still hits both at home or in a unique dancefloor spectacle.

Accompanying is visual response from artist Ava Clifforth which chops organic forms with kaleidoscopic patterns. Melting amoebas initially transfix the screen, yet they evolve, binding a narrative through the autonomy of plants and pollen. These forms weasel from engineered voids and grow into something much larger and slightly dystopian, splaying across an AR World. The release will be distributed and available from the Pollinate Records bandcamp.

Let's continue together this musical adventure that has been going on for eight years now!

Indeed, the first opus was released on June 1st, 2015, from a deep desire to support a pioneering and adventurous electronic music; without exhaustive stylistic limits, and which wanted to be at the same time experimental, deep, mixed and sincere.

It then became obvious that it was necessary to reveal a music that would have as its only contours the inherent musical originality of each of these artists, regardless of their age, origin, orientation, experience, nationality, genre, recognition...

Twenty six releases later, and despite many difficult moments, loneliness, variable echoes, tensions, doubts, the label still exists, and resists ephemeral fashions, in a discreet niche of enthusiasts from all over the world! It is therefore essential to thank you all today for having supported in one way or another this slightly crazy, human and fragile project, carried only by the love and passion of music.

In order to celebrate this new step of the label, it is time to present our new release ACCENTLP005, signed by one of the key producers (both in the structural sense of the project, but also as a Light) our dear and beloved Gëinst! He alone is one of the reasons why this structure still exists, because each time I discovered his new tracks, I had so many emotions, that it was impossible not to react, to be silent in front of this pure and rare beauty. It is therefore normal and logical to release his first long format of six tracks, with solar and esoteric accents, where groove trance and deep techno flirt with softness, luminous and subtle, where finesse and elegance intertwine with relentless rhythms of strength and dynamism, Evangelion LP is an ode to joy, freedom and love!

This album is a testimony to the strength of music, freed from the canons, rid of authoritative figures that have become monotonous and too conventional, become hybrid, fresh and above all FREE. <3

Through the poplars, different echoes resonate.
Those old roots are already tired of the concrete jungles, of the indiscriminate usurpation of what once belonged to everyone, and of that trivial exploitation of the eternal for the most ephemeral purposes that so abound.
Does no one see the inherent brilliance in each moment, the hidden magic behind every 'simple' act? It is in that glow, behind the mirror, where the true reality hides, and no one seems to want to notice it; no one wants to see beyond their own reflection.
Or so it seemed. Little by little, curiosity, for lack of a better resource and having already discarded the rest of the options, seems to be having an effect on the disoriented masses in search of a direction. And while many have already dared to look and have even been on this side for a long time, there had never been an interest of this magnitude.
God is dead, the poets exclaim, and it must be because of this that the illusory balance that sustained banal existence lost its unstable stability.
For those who know how to listen, the trumpets that announce the coming of a different panorama resonate, where the old values ​​are no longer of any use.
Perhaps the poets are right.
Perhaps it was that old center that sought to give meaning to what has none, that with symbols tried to represent the greatest of abstractions, which retained a species with as much potential as can be imagined.
Will the news that the poets so much announce and that the trumpets keep exposing to the ears of those who are well attached to the greatest of illusions ever arrive? Will those deaf ears want to hear it?
It's just a matter of waiting and dancing, to the rhythm of the moon, while we do so. Thus leaving them, at least, a small trace of what it feels like to dwell behind the almost imperceptible veil that separates us.

Alex Smalley creates music that is simultaneously abstract and serene. His compositions lend themselves to deeper listening states and convey a gradual, expansive progression. 

Over the last 15 years, his music has been released on numerous labels including Barge Recording, Serein, Umor Rex, and Dauw, across all formats. It has also been used for dance performances and films, including the 2012 documentary "Surviving Progress" by Martin Scorsese. 

Using a shifting array of analog, digital, and acoustic sources, the music manipulates the perceived sense of time and space. 

Careful consideration of the placement of sounds and instruments gives the sense of a natural environment interacting with benevolent technology. 

The cross-referenced sound takes influence from electronic music, new age, world music, and experimental sound design. 

Optimistic considerations of parenting, nature, wellness, biotechnology, and machine learning are current preoccupations in his music. 

After relocating from the UK to Weimar (DE) in 2017, Smalley began creating music under his own name. Previously, he has released collaborative works in the projects Olan Mill and Pausal.

Earthen Sea is New York based musician Jacob Long. Since 2006, Long has released music on a variety of formats on a number of labels including Lovers Rock, Imminent Frequencies, and Other People. The music has been noted for its swirling low end, pulsing melodies and propulsive barely-there rhythms and his work has also been described as  having a knack for texture that creates a disorienting, lost-in-your head sensation that allows it to work as both trippy ambience or immersive dance music.
