Born in Riverside Ca in 1953. In 1966 his family moved to Oakland Ca where he attended King jr high. In 1969 he began playing alto sax. Upon reaching Skyline High School he played 2nd tenor in the stage band. The following year he transferred to Castlemont High earning a scholarship to the UC Berleley Young Musicians Program. After graduation he began pursuing his music career. He has played with a wide variety of artists such as DJ Rogers, Gladys Knight and the Pips, George Benson, Chala Kahn and a host of others. "Music is a gift from GOD" Rodney says, and my goal in life is to show my appreciation and to bring joy to as many people as I can.
